DOn't get me wrong. Common is my second or third favorite rapper of all time. It's just that the verse doesn't fit the theme of the song. Still an excellent verse especially considering the absolutely horrible album he had just made. It was like an "I'm back" sort of announcement.

College Dropout is in my Top 5 hiphop albums of all time...

There is a sentimental aspect for me. I jsut see it as a really important album. Dark Twisted Fantasy came after he'd been doing this for a while and was a pro at it. College Dropout was more raw. Came off more genuine and he remembered what it was like to not have a shit load of money...

Be and The Dreamer, The Believer are Commons best albums. Strange that they came later in his career, but they both are produced perfectly by Kanye and No ID and he doesn't seem to take any songs "off". Hell, I think Like Water for Chocolate might be better than Resurrection too. Hard to say...
