[quote="veganfan21I don't know if I understand the comparison correctly, but Bernstein seems to see himself as some sort of intrepid reporter asking all the tough questions other journalists are either too stupid or too scared to ask. He also has this fascination with false idols (Jordan, Armstrong, Paterno, etc.) that he loves to rip apart, which isn't a problem per se, but he really goes out of his way to expose certain folks for what he thinks they really are.[/quote]

The problem with Dan's thought here if it is in fact what he thinks is once he would go national or big time a corporate suit will shut his ass down. Rome has latitude and rip people but nothing like the way to drawn out stuff B&B did on PSU or Armstrong.

What would really irk me before I pretty much just gave up was how he would start the show by expressing a legitimate opinion in his meatball voice in order to silence any potential criticism of his opinion before it was even voiced by a listener.

The one that's worse is when he presumes antisemitism in anyone who could theoretically disagree, with the "YEAHHH, BERN-STINE" thing. I find it rather irresponsible.

Since when is it irresponsible to be a self loathing J ew?

I have never heard Bernsie say that -- doesn't mean it wasn't uttered.
Bernsie uses hyperbole to spark discussions, but I don't believe he frames conversations to please others. I don't think Dan takes himself that seriously. He's said that several times. Maybe he's lying.

Are you a family member or friend of Bernstein's?

Hardly. I just dare to say that I enjoy it -- still.
Several years ago, I would normally bash Mike North's show on this site, but then I realized the folly of my ways. Why continue to bash a show and talk about PTFB if I still sounded like I was normally tuning in? I stopped listening and posting about it.
I would suggest the same for those who don't care for B and B. Move on with your lives, listen to Silvy and Waddle, talk about how that show is awesome.
Also, I have been critical of B and B in the past. I'm hardly an apologist. I just dare to still like the show, and I just don't agree with all of the criticism spewed in their direction.

agreed and well said
