It wasn't a bad article though.

Shark if you were the GM for the Clippers would you trade Blake Griffin?

I wouldn't trade Blake Griffin. However, I don't know what the team's salary cap situation is like.

That Jamaal Crawford contract is great. It's a shame the Bulls couldn't get in on that, and had to settle for Rip. That would have made a world of difference for this team.

That Blake Griffin deal doesn't look so great starting next season. For all the high flying/memorable moves he brings, there's some tremendous holes in his game. And he's also soft as hell when playoff time roles around every year.

I don't think it's too bad compared to other NBA contracts.

Tyrus Thomas got a 4 year deal for about the same amount of money.

I can't find it right now, but there was a recent LA-based article on beef between Paul and Griffin. This article alludes to it, but doesn't capture it directly like the one I can't find did: http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_2300 ... meet-clear

In any case, I think the gist of the uncovered article was Paul being upset with Griffin's concentration on fluff like showboating, instead of trying to become a better, fundamentally sound basketball player. Griffin and Jordan were upset with Paul's condescending attitude. I wonder if Griffin is walking down the same path as Howard and Stoudemire: athletic freaks who saw/see themselves as above mundane things like sound post moves, or basic defensive stances. In other words, players who believe their own hype.

I don't know, DB. Dude average 6 boards and 3 points in the playoffs. I need a little more than that for $11 mil a year.

Tyrus Thomas? WOW! There are quite a few bad contracts around the NBA. Too bad they're all guaranteed.

I'm just saying you could worse (much worse) than Deandre Jordan at $11 mil a year.

Blake Griffen has to be one of the top 5 most overrated players in the NBA. Father time or an injury will make him the 10 man of just about any NBA team. He has no heart or skill. Chris Paul should run.

I don't know about this. After signing the extension, they only played him 24 minutes a game, which yielded 8 points and 7 rebounds. After four years in the league, he still hasn't developed any offense game whatsoever outside of putbacks and launching himself at the rim. If he's not working on his game this summer, then this contract is going to start sucking real soon. Chris Anderson can get you most of what Jordan gets you if the Heat gave him more playing time, and he's playing for the minimum, or close to it, if I remember correctly.

Here's a great article from a couple months ago about the NBA's worst contracts. Yes, Deandre Jordan is on it, but there's some absolute albatross' in this list above him.

Agreed.

There's nothing better than him breaking down terrible NBA moves.

Hmm...well then, like you said, I guess you could do worse than Jordan at 11, although I still wouldn't want him at that price. I'd be more comfortable with him if I saw signs of development, but unfortunately I don't think there's much to see in that department.

The Clips should cash in with a trade whenever his value seems to be massively inflated.

Agreed. Even though ABC's next game isn't until 1 week from tonight when the NBA Finals tip off in either San Antonio or Miami, the ESPN-produced "NBA Countdown" crew is terrible.

I thought DeAndre Jordan would be the next Camby. Looks like I'm wrong unless Vinny is responsible for his lack of development.

It wouldn't be the first time he didn't know what to do with a young player (Luol Deng). He also wasn't the only LA coach who failed maximize the talents of his entire roster (Gasol).

Speaking of Chris Paul, let's go down the "What If" trail. What if the Lakers closed the deal with Chris Paul? What would the Lakers be without Gasol? Would they still have traded for Howard?

I feel like I'm watching an NBA-D league game.

This is fucking ugly.

D-Wade looks like he's sleeping on the court.

This game is horrible. Why can't anyone hold onto the ball and not shoot airballs?
