Interleague play...where the Cubs have taken 5 of 6 so far this season, continues as the Cubs visit the Angels. Scott Feldman will face an Angels offense that features Albert Puljols, Mike Trout, Mark Trumbo and Josh Hamilton. Surprisingly, this offense has been largely disappointing. Jared Weaver will take the bump for the Angels in the opener in his 2nd start since coming off the DL. The Cubs have hit 13 homers in their last 7 games, but Weaver gave up just 1 run in 6 innings pitched in his last start and looked sharp. 9:05 pm start tonight.

Is needed until he gets it together.

I didn't believe it when Rogers said it but I'm seriously wondering if he's going to be on this team next season.
I am beginning to doubt it.

He's not a Theo kind of guy. I think he'll be traded.

Feldman having another solid start. Since his early season struggles, he has been pretty good consistently. 5 innings and just 1 run. How many 1 hop ground balls has he fielded tonight? At least 5 I think.

Castro needs to get his shit together. If you are going to hit like a 7 or 8 hole hitter then you might as well be one. A little bit of humility might go a long way with him. If he were hitting .330 then he could tell everyone to fuck off but he is hitting .255 and he isn't getting on base so he might want to open his mind and take some instruction and advise.

Honestly, Russell should be an All-Star this season. He's been outstanding!

Key appearance here for Villanueva out of the pen with a 3-2 lead. They need a goose egg from him.

That ball was killed by Puljols. Nice baserunning by Aybar to advance on the fly ball to CF. It didn't matter, but it was a nice job by the runner. Villanueva not up to the task here.

Cubs now 6-2 in interleague play. Now a day off (though there will be plenty going on with the draft) before they begin a 7 game home stand vs the Pirates and Reds.
