Awful blocking call on Duncan, clearly a charge by Wade. Even the retired ref is clueless
.

Spurs look better than the Pacers but are still playing like dog shit.

The Spurs should probably work on not leaving people wide open at the 3pt line.

I love Tim Duncan.

Looks like it will be 1-0 Miami going into game 2.

Either Kid or Play just went coast to coast against a sleepy San Antonio defense. Spurs probably had the early bird special at the Chart House and now are ready to settle down with a Matlock rerun and fall asleep with the TV on.

Haven't been watching closely, but I assume teams concede the wide open 3 if it means packing the paint against Wade or James. i remember reading a good article on Grantland about Thibs' mastery at preventing the open corner 3, which is a Heat specialty, but even then defenses can do nothing but pick their poison once James penetrates (and Wade, to a lesser degree).

Agree.

It's nice watching a team that doesn't turn the ball over 20 times in a half.

Awesome 2nd quarter by Duncan. It's a shame the refs called that bullshit blocking foul. Spurs still got this. Hopefully the refs start calling the game fair in the 2nd half.

Spurs can't get any traction. They get close to taking the lead and they brick a shot or can't produce a stop.

Good game, though.

Indiana and the Bulls could take lessons from the Spurs. If Indiana could keep their turnovers low they'd be playing in the Finals. The Bulls need to push the ball against Miami and not let them trap the point guard. I don't know if Miami has tried, but it looks as though the Spurs are too quick for Miami to get set up in their half court defense.

Spurs seem unusually charitable in the third quarter. Parker's absence is very notable with all the jump shots and 3s being taken.

I said Spurs in 5 because I thought Miami would steal one. With the BS calls, this game was the one. It's gonna be a sweep now. Thanks for playing, Miami.

When Juwan Howard does not wear a tie with his suit while riding the Heat's bench, the Heat's record is like 0-24.

LeBron played an effortless great all around game but the Spurs took care of the ball and that made up for their poor shooting. Great game. Where was Wade in the 4th?

It was a great win for SA, but Miami has been in this position before:

0-1 to the Bulls in 2011
2-3 to the Celtics in 2012
0-1 to the Thunder in 2012
0-1 to the Bulls in 2013

It's still a series!

I thought the conspiracy theories changed a bit in the Finals: it's not who wins, like it was in previous rounds, but rather how long the series runs.

They had four as a team for the game.
