I usually watch, but my lack of expertise on Hockey usually warrants not commenting

For what it's worth, here is Tim Donaghy's insight on game one's referee performance:

It's slight hand contact from the defender on the drive to the basket—if the officials enforced the rule like this, they would call 100 fouls per game. The refs simply wanted to keep the game's physicality in check, and Bosh was chosen because he's not a huge star. If James or Duncan had committed this foul, you wouldn't have heard a whistle.

While his premise may be logical, it is flawed because there are tons of fouls that, if precedented, would ruin the game. Refs make bad calls all the time - it doesn't mean it starts a precedent.

If one of the local shows got Donaghy on weekly, I'd listen

Spurs are guaranteed to lose now. Joey will not allow them to go down 2-0.

He is also only Ref to foul Lebron out of playoff games. Should be entertaining tonight but kind of sad it has WWE feel to it.

Let's get it correct. Crawford is the only ref to call fouls on James. He's the only one that is not going to overlook a foul on him because he's LeBron James.

Joey didn't call many of those fouls. He just so happen to be one of the game officials. Look at what happened in the 2nd round this year. He took the Bulls out of that game and tried to take Indiana out.

Where is Crawford on the Flop-O-Meter scale?

That's my main issue with how shit gets officiated. I can't stand to see a guy 6'8" 270 act like he got shot out of a cannon when someone puts a finger on him.

It probably won't matter. Game 1 was Miami's best chance to steal a game in this series.

Surprisingly the most the officials were involved in that first game was the Parker shot at the end and maybe a couple ticky tack fouls in the first half.

I'm loving the Spurs transition defense. I thought Miami was too athletic for these Spurs? 8)

Spurs dictating pace too. They get into their offense quick and run the shot clock down.

What a nice cherry on top of a great sports weekend it would be to see the Heat dump at home again.

Spurs are playing aggressive enough, they just need to clean up their passing/ball handling. And hopefully start getting a few of these calls under Miami's basket.

Miamis D does look very good so far. Spurs have to weather the intensity and play smart.

Three obvious missed calls so far all in Miami's favor, but I'm not too worried. We knew it was gonna be like this and I still think Spurs will win.

Splitter needs to play bigger in the paint. Miami doesn't have anyone to match up with his size, and yet he's not using it. He's made a lot of improvements this season in the level of aggressiveness he plays with, now would be a terrible time to regress.

It's like you're trying to bait me. You know Duncan was first team All NBA, right?

I'm not liking how the Spurs look offensively so far. It's tied at 29, but they're camping out on the perimeter. They need to establish inside a bit.
