 Post subject: Mockumentary

I watched Best In Show last night. The film really still holds up. There was a good run of mockumentaries out of Hollywood from Spinal Tap until about the early 90s. The genre really seems to have lost steam which is suprising given their low budgets and generally good return.

For Your Consideration is very good, too. I don't remember that being out in the theaters but saw it on DVD a few years ago.

"Fear of a Black Hat" was an excellent mockumentary and that was 94 I think. Bonus for having Lamar from Revenge of the Nerds in it.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a pretty funny mockumentary of Walk The Line. It also takes some shots at Ray too.

I love the part of the movie that makes fun of Brian Wilson, when Dewey requests 50,000 didgeridoos.
