Think about the cartoons from your youth. There were plenty of times Bugs went to some remote island and found natives who always seemed to have a big pot boiling and were chopping up onions and carrots before throwing him in. That, of course, wouldn't be in today. At the same time, it had no affect on the way I view islanders or other such godless savages.

i remember when we are all at rpb's place a few weeks ago and he was like 'hey guys, i've been waiting for awhile to bust out these racial slurs, what do you all think?'

it was pretty shocking in retrospect

My grandma lived in Marina Towers till we stuck her in a home a couple years ago. Over the years, more and more gay people had moved into her neighborhood and building. One day I'm driving her home and she says there are lots of "2 by 2s" in her building. And I was like what is that? And she say you know, gay people. She said that whenever she saw them they were always in pairs so she started calling them 2 by 2s.

Not really racist but pretty funny.


She also kept referring to blacks as colored people till I corrected her and told her the politcally correct term is negroes so now she goes with that.

He has to work harder to offend me. Annoying me is entirely different. I've seen more non blacks post the word or versions of it than the blacks on this board by a wide margin. If we can all agree that re#### shouldn't be posted then it shou be fairly easy to not post any racial slurs. I don't use racial slurs even if someone cuts me off in traffic. It just isn't my thing. While slurs directed to blacks don't personally offend me I generally annoyed by how often and easily all racial slurs are posted.
