Somebody told me Hawk went off on some diatribe against Joey Bats hitting in the two hole. Anyone catch this?

How the fuck do you give him anything to hit with two out in the ninth? This team is just ridiculous. It's the dumbest goddamn baseball team I've ever seen. It wouldn't be a Sox game without a minimum of two outs made on the bases. Horrible baseball. Tough to watch.

We need more bums from the minors! I can't wait until Keenan and Kel get to Chicago.

The little league team strikes again. Unbelievable how many runs this team gives away every night.

However you feel about DeAza, multiply that by 100,000 and that's how I feel about Tyler Flowers. Cut that useless piece of shit now.

He actually didn't say that. Sabermetrics blah blah blah. 130 years of baseball blah blah blah. GM telling his manager how to fill out the lineup card blah blah blah.

The only thing wrong with Bautista batting second is that he should be batting first. Of course, guys that have been around this game for seven decades have a whole lot of trouble grasping why you might want your best hitter to get the most at-bats.

Awful.

He can't play baseball, but who the fuck else do they have?

This team will soon be in an organizational coma.

Someone has to tell flowers to get off the railroad tracks when the train is coming!!! That was a most satisfying ending to the game. I'll bet some of the stupid Sux fans thought Dunn was gonna hit a 3 run homer and win it. No such luck. This team is TWTW....Too weak to win! Detroit, Cleveland and Minnesota all win, while the Sux begin another losing streak. The Sux (28-35) are now a full 9 games back of Detroit and 2 1/2 behind Cleveland and in LAST place.

We haven't played one game against Detroit yet.

It's all good.

Remember, you said they had to be within 7 games of Detroit, by the time the Hawks win the Cup. Finals begin tomorrow evening and they are currently 9 back....

I know.

We have 10 days to pick up at least 2 games.

Like I said, it's all good.

As far as batting order matters, http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~mbodell/battingOrder2001.html (it doesn't, much) there have been a few studies that suggest that your best hitter should be in the 2-hole. Bautista is probably their best hitter. Now all the issues that me (and many other fans) may have had with LaRussa, he never had a problem putting a power hitter in the 2-hole. I'm guessing that Hawk may have had issue because Joey Bats should be bunting? or hitting behind the runner? The TWTW way of thinking says your 2-hitter has to be a slap hitting middle infielder  (see Baker, Dusty)

I have maintained that the Sux are not contenders by any means and need to begin rebuilding immediately. Terrys Peeps has said that as long as they are within 7 games by the time the Hawks win the Stanley Cup, they can still win the Central division. Well, they are 9 games back and the finals begin tomorrow night....

Never should have come down to 1 run in the 9th. The Sox easily should have put AT LEAST 2 or 3 more runs on the board.

Tyler Flowers is terrible. He doesn't even deserve to be a backup catcher. Straight fastball running in yesterday and he flat out wiffs on it, allowing a run to score. Alexei with an error, and then a bad baserunning play. Beckham making the final out at 3rd base. That is bad coaching right there. All of that is mental stuff that can (and SHOULD) be corrected by the coaching staff.

Esmil Rogers will make his 3rd start of the season, since being promoted to the starting rotation from the bullpen. in his last start he only went 4 innings, but that was not because of ineffectiveness, he only gave up a single run. But he's still getting stretched out as a starter at this point. Chris Sale will see if he can get another quality start that winds up a loss.

Can't believe no one has pointed out the error in Steve's posts here.

Pointless, it's like a bit. some people can troll with some amusement level incorporated. Steve from Elmhurst is not one of those people.

Tonight's White Sox-Blue Jays game postponed due to severe weather forecast

CHICAGO - Tonight's game between the Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays has been postponed due to a forecast of severe weather conditions, and the fact that thousands of Chicagoans will be tuned into the Blackhawks game.

A makeup date and time will be announced at a later date. Fans should keep any game tickets and parking coupons for tonight's postponed game until a makeup date is determined.

Tonight's postponement is the fourth this season at U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox games on April 19 vs. Minnesota (cold), April 23 vs. Cleveland (rain) and May 28 vs. the Cubs (rain) also were postponed. It is the most postponements for the Sox at home since 2008 (five).

For more information, visit whitesox.com or orgullosox.com.
