It's funny how Tim Tebow is like Sarah Palin. There are so many people that hate them, but at the same time people just can't stop talking about them and want to follow their every move.

Manning has a ring, multiple records, and will be a HOFer in his first year of eligibility. This is a dumb argument.

Manning got them just as far though, and didn't get embarrassed in the divisional playoffs.

No one expected for Tebow to beat the Patriots on the road and Manning probably would have lost that game too. Peyton Manning was given a $100 million contract to take them to the Super Bowl and not only did he fail to deliver but he threw a pick in OT to give the game to the Ravens.

If Champ Bailey doesn't get burned, and I mean BURNED, for three touchdowns, they get past the Ravens. And you want to blame Manning for throwing one bad pass?

Wait...are we seriously having a discussion about Tebow vs Manning?

Forget stats, HOF, playoffs, championships, etc. There's really one primary difference between the two, and that's only one of these two has the forward pass as part of his broader skill set.

You think Tebow really murdered that guy and framed Hernandez for it too??

My point was that the Broncos spent a lot of money on Manning and he took them no further than Tebow. Clearly Manning is the better player, but Tebow took them just as far as Manning did in the playoffs. I believe that Manning had a pick six in that game against the Ravens and then he threw another pick in OT. Both to Corey Graham. The Broncos scored 35 points in the game, but two of the touchdowns were from special teams returns. For what they paid him Manning did not have a Colts Super Bowl type performance.

But even in your post it seems to be implicitly implied that Denver is in a better position in the coming years to advance in the playoffs with Manning since, as you put it, he's clearly the better player over Tebow.

How many more years is Peyton Manning going to play? Would you say he has 1 or 2 more productive years left? Manning is a win now player and in a couple more years he's done.

Tebow has not been given any opportunity to compete for a starting job anywhere. The Jets were unwilling to even give him a look when they were out of the playoffs. He was bad in the first 3 quarters for the Broncos, but he was great at the end of the game.

New England might actually be a good place for him. They have some good coaches who should be able to work with him and if all else fails use him as something other than a drop back quarterback.

Quarterbacks who run too much get injured. So if Tebow was to get a chance to play he might have to do more throwing unless he was used only for gimmick plays.

That's because Tim Tebow is bad at quarterback. There is no context necessary to understand it. He throws like an old woman.

In the last game he started he threw a touchdown pass to win the game. Yes, he has bad mechanics, but he's won just as many playoff games as Jay Cutler.

What is the ultimate point you're trying to make? You already acknowledged Manning is the better QB between him and Tebow, so what's the point in comparing the two? As your post suggested, you'd rather having Manning than Tebow. Touting Tebow's playoff victory isn't going to help much either. Forget Cutler, would you rather have Luck or Tebow? Tebow took Denver to the divisional round while Luck failed to do the same last year in the playoffs. It doesn't mean Tebow is the superior QB.

Standard rule of thumb...if Hub says it, the opposite will happen.

Tom Brady vetoed Tebow making the roster, he didn't want to be looking over his shoulder all-season.

Everything I've seen from both guys tells me I was still right about Tebow being better than Sanchez. Sorry if I don't trust the certifiably insane Rex Ryan on this one. He's a joke of a head coach. It was pretty much a concensus among media members that the Jets were worried about Tebow playing better than Sanchez at the end of the season and that's why they went with McElroy.
Looks like Bill Belichick was afraid that Tebow would be better than Brady too.

Just for the record, the Patriots cut Tebow and didn't keep another quarterback.

Looks like not only am I owed an apology but so is Rex Ryan.

He'll go to Canada for a couple years and make a Doug Flutie-like return to the NFL.

Doesn't look like it
Quote:
The Montreal Alouettes are in a quarterback conundrum. Tim Tebow is out of a job.

But ask Montreal general manager and head coach Jim Popp, and the team won't be making any calls for help to the former NFL pivot any time soon.

"We've never had a conversation with him or his representation eh," Popp said Monday, adding there won't be one unless Tebow or his management initiates it eh. "It's all for talk and there's nothing there, there's no substance to it eh."

This makes no sense to me. There are a dozen backups worse than Tebow. I don't get it.

Fuck Belichek. Now Tebow will just go into politics faster. Thankfully he was born in the Phillpines so I'm all for Birther-like idiocy surrounding him.
