CBS 2 news just showed an interview with a woman struck in the face by a puck during Game 1, and during the interview, Stan Mikita, who happens to live nearby, stops over and gives her a sweater and talks for a while. According to the reporter, his visit was not arranged by the Blackhawks nor did he know the camera was there until he arrived. If true, that's pretty cool of Stan!!

Nice story, but you might want to spell his last name correctly, its Mikita.

And why does he have a sweater on in June? Seems unlikely at best.

Thanks, Steve. I was in a hurry to be the first to post this, and slipped into power tool mode.

bizzaro Jay Leno and Fred Huebner

How did Stan not open up a Stan Mikita's Donuts after Wayne's World? That buisnes doesn't take much overhead and you figure it would have been worth a shot to see if it hit after the movie.

I would have driven all the way out to Aurora just to go. I was a BigFan of Wayne's World.

Edit: I suppose I should say I would have hounded my parents to drive out there until they agreed.

With all of the Hawks fans that have jumped on the bandwagon since 2010, a Stan Mikita donut shop would be cleaning up.
