Is he still hurt? Did he play?

I was wondering the same thing.

The Line could be better, but they were effective enough for Cutler, today. I saw more panicked flea-flickers from Romo, but dammit, people were catching those!

Thus far, week two, seen no Gints or Jets games. Odd not the see them in the local market. Why would the NYC market want to see the Cowboys get spanked by the Bears as the 1pm game?

Maybe because the Jets/Patriots game was a 4pm game and the Giants/Colts game is tonight??

Coaches Not happy with drops he had last week is what the guys are saying. I thought he was hurt too.

He's on my fantasy team (yeah I know Button 48)...so I was texting folks right away about it.

Jeff Dickerson's ESPN Chicago blog wrote:

ARLINGTON, Texas -- In the span of one week, Bears receiver Devin Aromashodu went from primary target to barely playing.

After being thrown to 10 times by Jay Cutler in Week 1’s win over Detroit, Aromashodu hardly saw the field in Sunday’s 20-17 win over Dallas, finishing the game with zero receptions.

"I really don't have an explanation," Aromashodu said Sunday. "I don't know why. Maybe we had a different game plan for the matchups we had. I'm happy with the outcome of the game, so that's all that matters."

Despite catching five passes last weekend, Aromashodu did have a few drops, including one in the end zone. That could explain why the Bears decided to play Earl Bennett instead of Aromashodu in certain situations in the victory over the Cowboys.

"I guess [that it was the drops], that's the only thing I can say,” Aromashodu said. “I mean, I haven't been told anything.".

I would have guessed they would at least say something to him about the drops. That's what I would prefer as a player, but I guess you could argue the benching gets the point across... unless of course you don't have any clue why you are benched.

I wonder if this was a Martz or a Lovie deal. I realize he made some mistakes, but he is one of the biggest receivers on the team and ought to play if healthy.

I'm with you. Granted the TD drop was huge, but I don't remember that many other drops. IMO, Knox's terrible route-running in game 1 hindered the offense more than DA did.

Aroma has a knee injury - so don't read anything into this other BS. He got the shit beaten out of him last Sunday.

Mully said last Monday that Aromashadu was seen hobbling out of the locker room after Sunday's game.

Why else would the Bears have brought good sized WR Michael Clayton in on Tuesday or Wednesday of last week? It's not like they have an extra roster spot for him.

Just remember guys, none of these coaches tell the REAL story.

Biggs saying some bad blocking downfield and some 'hearing footsteps" over the middle.

He didn't just hear footsteps, he got absolutely creamed trying to make a catch 2 weeks ago. I remember at the time thinking he'd dropped some bad ones earlier in the game, but that particular play I had no problem with him coughing the catch up.

It's nice when you guys pull out the old threads. I still can't figure out the search function on this board.

No shit. I think I have used the search function maybe 3 times. I don't know how anyone finds anything using it. Then again, I don't really have any interest in digging up old threads.

The guy made some good plays but the coaching staff didnt like him for lack of toughness overall blocking/injuries/etc

Dickerson knows it and he never reports the kind of stuff he knows, he only reports what others tell him on the record.

I don't know why a #5 WR who doesn't play ST would interest the Bears. I also don't know why a guy who doesn't want to catch short passes over the middle would be a good fit for Trestman
