I prefer the coverage on CBS vs. NBC. 66 minutes of air time, and we may have seen 10 minutes of golf.

a lot of pro golfers strike me that way. the sport itself lends itself to elitism.

Rory is such a bitch. Earlier, he threw a club in disgust. Now, he bent the shaft on one of his irons after hitting Cobb's Creek for the second straight time. That club must be taken out of play.

If a professional golfer needs to hit driver on a par 3, it's a stupid hole.

As long as Phil doesn't win, it's been a fun day of golf. The story of going to the 8th grade graduation and his birthday today, have made this sickening. I never like seeing Phil win, but especially today. Really, fucking 8th grade graduation? Most kids don't even show up to that.

Every kid I've ever known has shown up to their 8th grade graduation.

This is how every PGA tourny should be. make that shit hard as fuck so they all struggle and every single birdie actually means something. Making a birdie should be a big deal, akin to scoring a goal in a hockey or soccer game. It shouldn't happen as often as a team scores a basketball in a NBA game which is the usual case in PGA events.

Big props to my guy Rose. In fantasy I've picked him more than any other golfer and had him again this week along with Horschel. On the other hand, my rest of my roster this week (Tiger, Scott, Stallings, McDowell, Furyk) didn't fare so well.

Was hoping Phil would win, but he didn't deserve it. The difference between him and Rose was that Phil blew several makable putts whereas Rose nailed about 4-5 big putts.

I found it to be a very enjoyable tournament. I really was pained to see Stricker blow up so early on Sunday
with two OB including a shank with a long iron on the second OB shot. Happy to see the scores around par.
The critics really got it wrong about thinking they would tear that place up. I followed their lead and thought
it would get to double digits but I hadn't looked at the course at all and those par 3s were incredibly tough
as well as some of the long par 4s. I liked the idea of having really hard holes mixed in with short par 4s.

A 266 yard par 3 is ridiculous, especially uphill, and into the wind. Most amateurs can't even reach that.

I don't think every tournament should be that tough, but having 6 or 7 a year like that would be pretty cool.

I thought that was a stretch and they screwed 18 on Saturday. 260 yard carry up hill and into the wind, just to get it to the fairway. I am sure there are guys that could not get it there.

On 18, there were two birdies on Friday (Phil was one), and none on the weekend.

Yeah, thats crazy. Make the course tough, but at least give these guys a chance at a birdie. They don't have to be hitting a wedge into every par 4 green, but still give them a chance with maybe a 200 yard approach shot.

18 was playing at 521 yards yesterday. Tim Clark, Mark Wilson, Luke Donald, etc. can't even reach that in two.

I can see thinking 8th grade graduation is unneccessary

I can see thinking Phil shouldnt have left

But for those facts to make you "sick" or even to root against THAT guy for THAT reason is a bit much.

I still like Schmitty.
