Where does a good dolphin go for his Chinese?

I used to be a regular at Mei Shung on Broadway south of Bryn Mawr, but the place stopped caring about the quality of its food a few years ago. Silver Seafood near Broadway/Lawrence is OK, but something is missing there. Any recommendations for North Side Chinese? It's difficult for me to get to Chinatown for dinner on weeknights.

The quality of the beef at a chinese restaurant is always suspect. It really isn't an issue if it is overcooked because it is in sauce and heavily spiced.

Give Yu's 1 more chance, & order the Szechuan Chicken & Shrimp. The Fried Rice is also outstanding.

I know a few Asians who regard Yu's as the best Chinese food in the area. If you eat in you will notice that a high percentage of the customers are Asian.
Everything at Yu's is made fresh from scratch, & not the usual Chinese crap.
Speaking of crap, you wont get the green apple quick steps after eating at Yu's either!

I cannot eat meat that is bloody. I usually order medium well cause I do like it pink but if I make that first cut and anything flows, I won't eat it.

I agree. Need the burger well done, steak is done no more than medium rare.

I hope I don't need to explain the difference between Dijon mustard and the blood of a cow. If I do, I will instead just offer you a challenge of you drinking a cup of blood and I drink a cup of Dijon mustard if we are ever in the same room and if either person doesn't finish it they owe the other an agreed upon amount of money.

People who order red meat well done are the same fools who put Ketchup on steak. Cooks & Chefs roll their eyes at people who order red meat well done. Medium rare is the only way to eat red meat, including Burgers.

Getting back on topic, I'll be at Yu's tomorrow. Cant wait.
