Can someone explain to me why Del Rio wins? Why take the belt off of Ziggler already....

Ugh

so let me get this right..... during a lackluster boring punk match with an excruciating amount of rest/holds in there where the irc channel i'm watching this with all erupts at laughter as we hear THIS IS AWFUL..... i mention that here and it's like "fuck you, you're on drugs you piece of shit cuz you're so wrong" and then i'm the one who gets ignored?

yeah i'm really fucking heartbroken that my life will be sorely lacking the greatness of a jackref reply on any given day of the week. how ever will i recover?

also, i'd love to see a skull in one of the o's of the stonecold-font "orton" on the back of his trunks. i'm an idealist; i'm a dreamer.

I missed it. Was it with the forearm?

no, bryan was hunched over standing with his head down by his midsection, roman reigns went off the ropes and jumped up in the air and put his foot on bryan's head/neck and came down on it as if he was pulling a proper american history X curbstomp (pulling off before the landing, obviously). it was slick to see in real time

The guy in charge of gimmicking the passenger window is fired. I think that glass had "King of the Ring" on it.

That sounds like Mark Henry's poem when Owen died.

Sometimes, you lose a friend
When that friend fall out the sky
It really just depends
If my tears don't fall
But they do
Cause that's what they do
And I make metal bend

I'm back.

Reading up it seems like the majority of the PPV was solid.

Ziggler has to still be woozy to take the belt off of him.

Punk-Jericho was supposedly awesome but I usually trust sini so I'll have to see for myself.

Ryback is done as a serious main event guy for a while.

I'm disappointed in the Chicago crowd if they really did pop for RVD.

For shame.

* If Ziggler is still woozy, I have a hard time believing they would've let him work in the first place

* You trust sini over jackref?

* Ryback isn't venturing too far away if Henry does indeed retire.

I just can't think of any other reason to have him lose his first PPV defense since he won the belt.

It's not either/or. Sini is no slouch and jackref is jackref. I'll watch the match and see. But reading reviews online, they all say it was a minimum *** match.

Markus Aleksander Henry is an upper mid card guy. That's where I see the Ryback for awhile. Not challenging for the top belts.

LAW is against me too.... but whatever. there were some fine individual moments, i called out the midair codebreaker and now i've got the STANDING ANACONDA VISE meme for the rest of my life.... but like, as i was watching the match it was flagrantly obvious to me that punk wasn't 100% and as such there was extra rest all over the match cuz like, there was a whole lot of laying around and outside the ring stuff...... hell after ~10-12mins or whatever there was a good 30-60 seconds of action and then they had to lay there for a minute or two immediately afterwards. forgive me for wanting an awesome match with the top star in the company.

i'm telling you, it wasn't that great by punk and jericho's usual/classical-in-jerichos-case standards.... yeah they're technically usually an oasis in a sea of WWE wrestling and at this point in time june 16 2013 we're used to exalting punk as what's right with wrestling and all that.... buti was pretty bored during it. obviously those two can put on a hell of a match but to me and my pile of blow, it was just a cult of personality fan service ordeal cuz the WWE knew everyone was gonna pop and the LAW/a-good-%-of-"real-fans" would run out and call it the match of the night no matter what else happened cuz those are two guys who can actually do moves and shit, but like.... i guess it's just the pile of drugs. i hold the guy to high standards and this was just fan service.

but whatever, it's just easier to say i'm on drugs go ad hominem and tell me to fuck off so we can be from chicago and whoop it up cuz our fucking saint was in the ring. ready the foe list!

and if i'm not mistaken, the THIS IS AWESOME/AWFUL chants came when one guy was in the ring and one was laying on the ground outside of the ring. i think i might have been grabbing another corona.... or doing a $25 rail cuz you know i have board expectations to live up to, so i'm not 100% on that but everyone i was watching it with was LOLing that chicago had the balls to chant this is awful, but hey, again.... * inhales *

* ric flair promo with plenty of WOOs *

and i quote pwtorch's recap of the match...

Punk then transitioned to a standing vice submission. Jericho slapped Punk's gut to escape,

bigtime hold there. STANDING ANACONDA VISE. i'm gonna get a tattoo this week

I love Jericho but I've found nearly every "big" match since his 2012 return to be somewhat underwhelming, especially the matches with Punk and Ziggler. I'm not sure if it's simply a matter of Jericho no longer having it or his style not meshing with those two guys or what. The Punk series has been a really big letdown. The Wrestlemania match was killed by a dead crowd thanks to the Undertaker-HHH, the Extreme Rules match was somewhat sloppy and merely ended up being 3rd best on the card, and this one was just okay.

I honestly think the 4-way with Sheamus, Orton, and ADR has been the best, but that may have been because my expectations were very low. Jericho can still clearly work since he regularly has the best match on Raw/Smackdown, but his PPV performances during this latest run have been disappointing.

Something very odd is going on.

I understand what you're saying, but the WWE has been more than willing to cancel Ziggler pushes in the past for non-wellness reasons. It's a damn miracle he's still even sort of over at this point as it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing an angle where AJ lords having a belt over him though; they certainly teased that a whole bunch with DB last year.

I didn't see or hear shit. Unlike common practice in other sections, that will always keep me from trying to act like an expert. However, some in the wrestling world think this is a face turn, and bigger push, for Ziggler. I don't know if I like that, or if it's true. Maybe Vince found out Linda took the Zig Zag? Who knows?

Weird all dirt sheets have commented the chant was "this is awesome." Breaking bread with a few folks that were there verified it. Why are your panties on such a bunch Sini?
