$85 per set of shots. Once a week for the first 6 months $2040, every other week for the next 6 months $1020, then once a month for the next year $340. Total would be $3400. Not quite 4, but goddam thats still alot of coin.

And I'm crazy for going to a chiropractor.

Well if I had an open wound I wouldn't be going to a chiropractor, but point taken.

Nor would I Francis.

But after being cut 11 times in the last decade by doctors I found out that if I didn't have an open wound, they would be happy to make one.

We had an ER trip last weekend for our 6 month old. She woke up at 10pm, eyes swollen shut and throat almost entirely blocked. Scary scary stuff. She was outside and we think her little blanket thingy may have fallen out of her stroller onto the ground... only to have her rub it all over her face in her crib when she was falling asleep.

Took her to the allergist, and since she is 6 months there is pretty much nothing you can do. Lame.

Whoa

So, what happened, how did she start feeling better?

We have this suction and I was able to get the vast majority of the gunk out of her throat. But luckily, by the time we got to the ER she was doing much better. Ended up giving her a really small dose of kid benadryl. We now just have that handy in case it happens again.

Scary. Glad she's ok.

I only get the hay fever allergies for about a 30 day period from Mid-August to Mid-September, and it didn't begin until I was 17....couldn't figure out what the hell was going on the first year it happened, but once it was diagnosed, I was ok...the first few summers I had a few battles, but the past few years it hasn’t bothered me much at all.

This thread has been around for 2 months and Ivan hasn't started an "Algerians" DBOTW thread? I'm awestruck.

He's not a man. He is a piece of bad-parody-thread-not-starting iron.

I've been MUCH better the last few weeks, but the first part of the year was so bad that I had allergy testing done.

I threw a little big of a reaction to cats, but nothing bad. I threw pretty bad reactions to tree & grass pollens, ragweed, and mold. The DR recommends that I get some allergy shots, and I tend to agree, but I don't think I can justify spending over $4000 on them over the next year.

Has anybody else ever had allergy shots? Did they work or not?

Dude, check out UV lights and/or Phi Cells on your furnace. They work for in the house.

Apparently I've already recommened them.
Fuck.

Brutal again this weekend. Medicine doesn't seem to help. It sucks.
