I'm sorry there wasn't enough Bears talk for you in the middle of the month of June during a time when another major sports team was playing for a championship. I hope they had some good stuff about how Trestman said a guy might be good. Fucking Christ.

it's fucking bullshit as far as i'm concerned. there is some sort of conspiracy going on. non-stop HOCKEY talk? are you shitting me? back in the 90s, WSCR hosts weren't even ALLOWED to talk about hockey. Is the NHL so fucking popular now that everyone wants to hear non-stop hockey? I don't believe it.

CH, did working Florida vacation help you unwind and clear the head? You're full of piss and vinegar after the little board time off.

Wirtz died and we all love hockey again.

Get used to it

I was doing great until I watched the Hawks bumblefuck their way through the first period while I stood in a crowded airport bar. I was with a nice Quebecois couple, the husband telling me he was on my side because "hi ate Boston."

But seriously, I don't bitch about a lack of hockey talk when the season is actually going on. How the fuck much more Bears talk does anyone need in June? Fuck the NFL and their neverending season of navel-gazing horseshit.

Oh, and interest in hockey has been sky-high in Chicago and beyond, reaching highs not seen since before the dead puck era.

Yessirrrrrreeeeeeeeee! Hockey is alive and well in Chicago again!

Look on the bright side, the Chicago Fire could be hot as hell. :D

I don't necessarily want to hear about the NFL, I just want a respite from hockey. I am being more than reasonable. 50% non-hockey? That is not fair?

Then I want 50% pop culture goofiness. Face it, the Sox and Cubs blow, the Bulls meh, and nobody knows what the fuck Trestman is doing. If they're gonna talk sports, hockey is the only sport going currently that doesn't make me wanna eat a bullet. This is when they miss Mr. Jason George Goff. At least he could rile up some cranky, old black gentlemen.

I'd rather talk about historically bad teams than phony-hope-for-a-wild-card-for-a-mediocre-team-that-isn't-going-anywhere talk.

But that's just me.

Good to hear the vacation went well. Yea, this series has a much more helpless frustrating feel than the Detroit. We were getting outcoached but still had superior talent and dictating play for the most part. The Hawks have been getting their ass kicked and outcoached for 90% of the periods. Q's dumbassery is really eating at me. He's like the George Karl of NHL coaches or something.

David Schuster, hockey expert. Are you serious? If I were a hockey fan, this would be a slap in the face.

History shows this city enjoys it's hockey. Old man Wirtz ran it into the ground and Rocky and McDonough brought it back from the dead and it didn't take long. It's a historic franchise with a classic sweater that had a long, rich history in the city before it's demise. It'll always be a post-season sport to the casual fan so it won't won't ever get any real off-season or regular season talk on the airwaves. You have one more week of hockey to deal with before it's going to be all Bears talk. Tough it out.

No Score "personality" makes me PTFB faster than the second I hear Schuster.

I don't necessarily hate hockey fans, I just hate people who are pretending to be hockey fans. Those are the worst.

When was the pre-Bill Wirtz era? 1912?
