I am hockey dumb and only a casual fan, but even I recognize that hockey talk should dominate the airwaves currently. I don't think there's any question about this. This is a Chicago team competing in a championship series in a major sport. In fact if I were a bigger fan I'd probably be incensed that Hawks talk has to split time with Nba talk, especially since the Bulls aren't even involved.

Not so much the show but it was mentioned here many times that there are 18k hockey fans in Chicago. Terry thought the Miami area doing a 34 share was too small and then they said the Hawks do a 25 or close to that.

So my question is does anyone know what share the Bulls do in playoff games in Chicago? Not the Jordan dynasty but your average Rose/Noah Bulls. I am not trying to start a thing but I want to "quantify" the difference between Bulls and Hawks and how many fans.

Bulls vs Heat did better locally than Hawks vs Wild by a sliver. Nationally, Bulls vs Heat blew the Hawks vs Wild out of the water. Every Hawks series since the Wild series has received a way higher rating locally than what the Bulls vs Heat did but obviously with the Bulls out, the Hawks take a lot of those viewers.

Actually, it wasn't til late in the Red Wings series that the Hawks ratings began to balloon up...

Game 5 of the Bulls/Heat second round NBA playoff series drew an 8.87 rating on TNT in the Chicago market Wednesday night, topping the Blackhawks’ series opener against the Red Wings on NBC Sports Network (8.13). The Bulls game began one hour earlier

Eddie O knows what's up but he's also paid by the Hawks and definitely won't say much critical about the coaching staff or organization.

The Hawks beat writers blow, and they always have going back as long as I can remember. Do we have any columnists who speak critically of Q? The beat writers seem afraid to ask tough questions.

If Q was a coach in Philly, Boston or NY and pulled some of the dumb shit he's pulled in the Cup Finals that he has as Hawks coach, they would have his head on a stake.
