greatest two weeks is always between NYD and the conference championship game

I prefer the end of October.

World Series, meaningful NFL and NCAA games and basketball and hockey starting

And the Nascar Chase for the Cup!!!

Because it's the Cup

I think there's a difference: what you are describing seems to be more sports saturation than sports greatness. I don't think the current period is the greatest sports period in history, but given that the stakes are exponentially higher than October NCAA/NBA/NFL football, and given the drama of the games we've seen thus far, I'd take this current moment over WS baseball and the rest in October.

Let me help you out. Here is a handy guide.

Is this the greatest ______ in American _____ history?
Does it involve hockey? The answer is then no.

This is 2 weeks of championship games in American pro sports. No other example given can claim that. Counting tonight, it will be 11 title games in like 14 or 15 days. The month of January isn't loaded up with games. Not day to day. Certainly not over 2 weeks. There is idol time. It's just weekends for NFL. NYD isn't what it once was and that's only one day as well.

The World Series doesn't last two weeks. Could be over in 8 days or less.

It's unique to this year because the NHL pushed back the date of their finals because of the lock out. So NBA and NHL have more games together over 2 weeks than ever before. Plus, like I said, you also throw in the U.S open. Plus the games have been good.

I'm literally talking over a 14 or 15 day period. Where title games are mostly filling up each day.

With that criteria, I win.

This will clinch it with you guys. SI reports that Aaron Hernandez is about to be arrested.

Now, if you remember, Police came for OJ during the NBA finals and he went for a ride. History might repeat itself tonight. I don't care what you say. A pro football player running from a murder arrest is a sporting event. So if this happens tonight, these two weeks will never be beat
