The latest spots from the Illinois lottery are just plain stupid:

1. "I'm a hamburger and he's a hot dog."
2. "Welcome to the annual shareholders meeting of the Good Life...our apple pie dividend was increased by 4 slices!"

To think someone gets paid to write this shit.

This one is definitely on my radar, very annoying. Took me about 10 times but I finally actually watched the
commercial and it turns out the guy picks up a chick, they go on a date and have a good time. She invites
him up and they spend the night together, only to find out they were married as their kids wake them up
and pile on top of them in bed.

I will admit that I like this commercial. The song reminds me of the version of You Never Can Tell from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and the woman is hot.

Did I mention that the woman is hot?

Hey asshole, McDonald's didn't change their fucking menu because your stupid fucking wife has been telling them to add egg whites. They fucking had focus groups and market research.

Well that's odd. There is one near mine too. Although the McDonald's is closer so we usually end up there.

It's funny to hear ads for "Avoid The Scam" on the Score. Especially the one victim who fell for the "sign on the door, the fancy car..." The only thing missing is the mahogany table!! :D

If you had to avoid the scam on the Score, you'd just have to turn the radio off during commercial breaks.

This recent flooding in the NW burbs reminds me of one of my favorite dumb-husband-smart-wife commercials from the Score:

"There's a note on the fridge that says 'See Page.'"
"No, honey. That says 'seepage.' We have water in our basement."
"No, I'm pretty sure it says to see Page, but I don't know anyone named Page."
"I just told you it says 'seepage.' SEEPAGE. Like with water, seeping."
"Where is this Page I'm supposed to see?"
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT, I'M GOING TO STRANGLE YOU AND BURY YOUR BODY IN THE WATERLOGGED FUCKING BASEMENT."

I know. I halfway think these are PSA's run by the Score for the benefit of the listeners.

I still to this day have not figured out the logic behind the dumb-husband-smart-wife concept. Especially on a station with a listenership that is at least 95% male. I imagine the female Eric and Kathy demo might adore them - except, what wife enjoys thinking of her husband as a buffoon, even if she thinks he is one?

I suppose the marketers just don't care about how the audience meshes with the tone of the ad? But that makes zero sense to me. I don't get it.

Based on the pudbutt sleazy commercials, is it much of a stretch to conclude that "avoid the scam" is, itself, a scam?

Ever since someone here pointed out that "Cub Fan, David Egan" sounds like he was dropped on his head one too many tmes, I laugh uncontrollably whenever I hear it.

The WalMart commercial where they apparently start serving steaks at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. After they tell the crowd that the steaks are from WalMart, they all start laughing and yelling. I'm still not sure why they're so excited about it.

I've got 2 new ones:

If you watch the Travel Channel for more than 10 minutes, you're probably well aware of
the fuckin Bizarre Food America ads with the "GREAT GREEN GLOBS OF GREASY GRIMY GOPHER GUTS" song.

Um, how bout GOPHER-GOFUCK YOURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the new Haagen Dazs Gelato ads where it's just a close up of people's mouths
over-ennunciating "Caaaahhhhh-POO-cheee-noooo".

Both of these spots make me wanna blow chunks, and I love Haagen Dazs. But I can't stand Andrew Zimern.
:x

I'm glad to see that Satan has found himself some VoiceOver work with that IRS commercial on the stream. Seriously, it sounds like Dahl's Satan voice through the harmonizer from the Steve & Garry days!

I picture this scene every time I hear the Feldco commercial, but with Spiegel and "MS" music stands.
