Lots of Middle Easterners live in the Detroit area.

Plenty of places in Michigan to hit if you're around for Arab/Middle Eastern food. More locally, Bridgeview would also be a good spot for the same type of cuisine. There are a few decent grocer spots in Naperville as well that also double as mini sit in restaurants.

Devon has more South Asian spots than Arab. There are more ethnicities I'm probably missing, but South Asian food is definitely in abundance up there.

I wanted to differentiate between Arab food and South Asian food since we were on the subject of the former. Probably should have used Pakistani/Indian instead of South Asian to be clearer. Pakistani/Indian will probably get more hits on Yelp than Asian if you're looking for that kind of food. I'm betting Asian brings up more Chinese/Japanese/Mongolian places than it does anything else. Another word you could try is "desi," which is a foreign word used to describe South Asian food and more.
