Game 6, tonight, big, huge, important, hardhawkhockey, textbook goal tending form. It's live, it's now, it's HUGE.

-NHL STANLEY CUP TALK
-Interviews, textbooks.
-Meat lays a trap for BernSTINE.
-White Sox Talk
-Penal Colony Talk
-Meat still tries to shoe horn LeBron James into the show.
-Pretty much all Blackhawks talk today.

Come to this thread to talk and discuss the show. It has been pretty good as of late, I'm hoping today is no different.

If the 'Hawks win does Danny Mac show up for work tomorrow? Or does he sleep soundly with visions of naked Blackhawk dong dancing in his head?

Was the Showpot victory sufficiently waved in Meat's face friday?

Mac wasn't there as he went up here fishing somewhere, not sure if he will be back today or not.

Candyman's voice sounds absolutely terrible. Really needs to slow down his rigorous touring schedule with his cover I mean tribute band.

It's annoying.

As a radio host of a show in a large market I would imagine that you'd probably want to bring your A game, at all time. It's your meal ticket and you shouldn't fuck it up.

Mac just mentioned Spiegs putting pen on paper with Rod and Mitch this week. This certainly puts a pin in the "Spiegs lis leaving" balloon.

Yep.

Johnny Pucks isn't walking through that door.

The Brand just called in with an asinine question.

I'm surprised Spiegel can.

Cheapshot.

Board had blinders on the past few weeks I guess. The easiest safe move is done 99% of the time.

Taking personal cheap shots at radio hosts? Fine and dandy, knock yourself out.

Telling a story about a radio host that may have skipped out on leaving a tip? Shut your damn mouth, off limits!

Mac and Satchmo is a tough listen today. Pick a fucking lane Spiegel. He treats what some would say is a dream job like a weekend hobby!

It would be nice, wouldn't it?

Candyman is a dude trapped between two worlds! Between rock supers stardom and famous radio host!

What does he do now? Where does he go? Which does he pick? Does he "become" KISS or does he "Become" an actual full time radio host?

If I'm Mac I would probably be a bit peeved at Meat when he comes in all wrecked and unable to do his job correctly.

Agreed on everything except for the last part. Mac may be pissed, but the combo of last year's 6 weeks of Mac time combined with missing as much time over the past year as Spiegs probably makes him bite his tongue.

Guess it doesn't matter anymore since there's reason to assume Candyman resigned with the Score. Perhaps they went with the if it ain't broke don't fix it policy...

Agree with U of I guy. Mac knows he needs Spiegel.

Maybe not Spiegel specifically, but someone to do the heavy lifting (watching every game including the NBA)

Did he talk about the Hawks' "penalty play" ?

After the screaming ends and the guns fall silent, it becomes apparent that Mac is a pragmatic man.

He will tolerate MeatPants and do his duty as a prime Chicago sports talk radio host, he knows Meat will make life easier, in the end.

He can't afford a better partner. Mac would need to take a paycut to get a better one. Mac would rather keep the money and put on a crapfest than do a better show. He can't see that in the long run he'd be so much better off jettisoning the ballast.
