While living in New Orleans for a stint I worked with a guy that owned a shrimping boat. With little effort I could have gone shrimping with him (just had to convince the guy I didn't want his shrimp). Didn't even push the issue because I didn't want to get up at 3 AM. lame lame lame

Truthfully, I would have moved into underwriting when the offer was made to me 5 years ago. I'd still have a job if I had.

Agree with OKC and Nas overall and especially in my case because some very happen chance type things led to the two most vital things in my life

But a couple things I'd do differently

Not say "No he sucks" to my dad when he asked if I wanted the pitchers autograph while we wait on Ryno (pitcher = Rookie Greg Maddux)

Gone to a Phish show when so many of my friends were always going especially the nye road trip to Florida

Would have done college a little differently

You missed a hell of a time. It was nice walking around in January with a tan.

Would have not gone to the Seminary. Totally messed me up and how I view shit.
Plus,if I went to my second choice for High School it would have been financially easier for my mom. I would have had at least a 1/2 scholarship.

I wish I would have gone to the Dr. a little sooner so I wouldn't have had to have such a major back surgery. I'd really like to tackle a few of you guys...or play sports other than bowling or golf or swimming (all non-sports in Boyd's book).

Would have stuck with golf in college. First time in my life it was year long sport, combined with the joys of freshman year at college, and I got burnt out. Only real regret I have in life.

Where do you live and you should get out with some of us one time? I still want to come down there one weekend for a round later on.

2. Stayed in college (was at Kennedy King at the time) instead of taking first "real" job. I was offered a job that allowed to me to make enough money to move on my own, but the training for the job took place at the same time as my classes. I tried to get the night training, but they would not allow it, so I dropped out with the promise that I'd go back.....13 years later, I still have not gone back.

My cousin graduated HS around 1995 and went straight to work after going to NIU for a semester. Like you, he planned to go back but never got around to it. Eighteen years, a marriage, and two kids later, he finally went back in January. He told me he didn't really need a degree since he had done well in his career, but he does have business school ambitions, so getting his B.S./B.A. out of the way would open that path up for him.

Ironically, I did go to college after HS and now regret that I did not build up more work experience while I was studying.
