The White Sox have promoted RHP Daniel Webb (remember him Bigfan??) and LHP Santos Rodriguez to Triple-A Charlotte.

Getting ready for the eventual trades of Jesse Crain and Matt Thornton. Webb started the season in High A and is throwing the hell out of the ball. Rodriguez started the season on the DL and got off to a slow start but has really picked it up in his recent outings.

I guess since Prior. All Sale has to do is finish this season decently and he'll pass him.

D Webb, another power arm, which was the result of the Fraser trade, of which I SAID, why sign Fraser? Just go and spend the money on power arms and see who pans out.

Webb, can throw mid 90's and has about a 1:2 B/K average. Not good.

I was never against the trade, I asked why you RESIGNED (Exercised an option) on a guy like Frasor for $3.75M when he did almost nothing for you the year before.

The fact Frasor was traded after they paid him $3.75M, should tell you enough that I was right.

If Webb works out, congrats, but if you think spending $3.75 on a journeyman pitcher in order to trade for him is a good move, then we have a different thoughts on good business.

Webb cost the Bluejays $450K in the 18th round.

WRONG. The Sox picked up his option THEN traded him to the Blue Jays for TWO prospects. They NEVER paid him the 3.75M. The BLUE JAYS did. It cost the Sox NOTHNG. You were dead WRONG then and are dead WRONG now.

Hey Fucktard

I actually noted it was an option they exercised in the post above yours , I noted that for the sole reason that I knew a douche like you would come back and say "THEY DIDNT SIGN HIM"

Well, whats the fucking difference? Sign the guy or exercise an option, I can tell you what the difference is....exercising the option is dumber! Did you really need Frazor that bad? Hell no and to show I was right, you traded him 90 days later.

It was a bad move , by a bad GM, but you think it was OK because you got Daniel Webb? for $3.75M

Rethink it and get back to us.

And to return to the point, if Daniel Webb is a jewel in your farm system then Baseball America is right, The Sox do have the worst farm system.

As long as apology letters are being inked how about one to Baseball Prospectus and the PECOTA dept

Hey FUCKHEAD. The Sox didn't pay him the 3.75M. Take a minute to get that thru your FAT HEAD and get back to me about why this was a dumb move.

Oh wait. You're getting an OPTION confused with a BUYOUT. That's fucking great. The OPTION was for his salary the NEXT season which the Blue Jays PAID. It cost the Sox NOTHING to pick up his OPTION, GENIUS.

At least Biggie does not ignore it when things are pointed out to him like a certain poster does when The Inquisitor points out something that is wrong.

The Chicago White Sox have signed international free agent Micker Adolfo Zapata, a 16-year-old outfielder from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.

Adolfo Zapata, 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, will receive a $1.6-million signing bonus, the largest ever by the White Sox for an international signing. Adolfo Zapata, who bats and throws right-handed, is rated by MLB.com as the No. 2 International Prospect.

According to that international ranking on mlb this guy is big, strong and ATHLETIC (KW is very happy), lots of power potential but projects to be a below average contact hitter with issues relating to offspeed pitches. I don't know how the hell you can project that much from a 16 year old.

Well, they have Zapata. Now all they need is Pancho Villa and they are set.

Adam Engel has been assigned to Great Falls of the Rookie League. In his first game he went 1-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. The March to the Hall of Fame has begun.

Dunn's issue is basically any pitch.

He's been giant the last month when nothing was expected of his team, just like he was giant every other time he's played for a non-contender. Maybe that's coincidence, maybe it's not.

Phegley can be moved to the big league game thread. He has gotten the call after Gimenez was DFA'd today.

Kind of like how Vazquez's best numbers came when he was pitching either early in the season or for a team not in contention.

What are you trying to say, Frank? That's exactly the kind of guy Vazquez was. Sort of like "Losing Pitcher" John Danks. The difference is, I don't want to run Danks out of town. I realize that he has value and contending teams need guys like him. I just wouldn't have given him money like he was the key man in my rotation. The Sox never did that with Vazquez. He was brought in to be a 4/5 guy and that's what he was and he did it well.
