I knew the show was in the toilet loooooong before anyone on this board did. Tons of people on here were living in denial for years, many tried to shout me down, call me a "hater" and say I was being "irrational." Those clowns were wrong, the ALS has proven to be poorly managed and a fraud.

I was right the whole time. Now everyone is all of a sudden "seeing the light" like it's some big revelation only they came up with.....sorry folks, you're all late to the party.

Same with BernSTINE being a douche bag, he was huge fuckhead since about 2007 but he could still hide it and be a good host....every day since the first day of 2007 he has shown us his true self.

November 2004. First chance to hear the day time show. Asshat, but one that was adequately mixed with enough funny and insight and general amusement it was easy to look at it as part of a total package. Complete asshat levels didn't hit until late last year. Really can't listen anymore. the asshatteryometer pegs far too often to be enjoyable.

I remember some really dire solo shows in December 2005 as the Bears were en route to the playoffs where it really hit me. The most memorable moment was when he lost it on an idiot Bengals fan for saying "we'll go further than you in the playoffs." Now that caller deserved to be rubbished but the fact Dan managed to become an even bigger asshat by refusing to let it go for the next 30 minutes was quite impressive.

Do not remember when it was, but the first time I heard him go off on someone for being a Christian.

His being an asshat does not affect me enjoying his show and thinking he is the best sports radio host in Chicago.
