But check out his stats as a Cub. His year in 79 was awesome. And the Lasorda rant alone justified Kingman as a Cub.

I watched that LA game where he hit 3 HR's. Awesome.

His batting stance was cool as hell.

Completely agree. I hated when they traded Lee Smith, he was one of my favorite players during that time. Everytime I saw that Schraldi dude it pissed me off. Wasn't there another guy in that deal as well? He pissed me off too.

My first thought was Hawkins.

Lots of interesting comments in this thread. I never had an issue with Chip. He was just a goof ball.

I did not care for Sosa, but most hated ever? The guy had an amazing career for the Cubs and was very exciting to watch in his prime. I was shocked by the Derek Lee comments too. He seemed pretty quiet and just did his thing. Granted, I never listened to many interviews, but I read the beat writer articles everyday. I never pegged him as a jerk.

Loved that guy. Him and Beck were the only arms on that 98 team that could get anybody out. Down the stretch of that season he would start a game, then come out of the pen a day or two later. Dude had a rubber arm.
