Order tickets directly from Phish before they go on sale to the public via Ticket Bastard.

You can order a 3 night pass (lawn tickets each night) for the Chicago run, before they go on sale via Ticket Bastard, until 9:00 AM tomorrow.

The mail order tickets always look pretty cool.

I put in for the three day pass through their site, and got denied. The rejection email told me of their allotment of three day lawn passes. So, I picked up a three day pass for $120, rather than $150.

Tickets went on sale through Ticket Bastard (where American monopoly is preferred) at 10:00 AM, for all three shows. At 10:01, only lawn tickets remained.

Still a touring force after 30 years.

This is gonna be a hell of a weekend in Chicago:

Phish playing 3 days on the lakefront
Pitchfork playing 3 days in Union Park
Pearl Jam playing Wrigley Field
NASCAR in Joliet that weekend
White Sox vs. Braves all weekend

Traffic should be just swell in/around the area those 3 days. I'm gonna go ahead and issue a traffic advisory on behalf of IDOT.

I think I may just camp out under Randolf and Columbus...or just stay at my sisters place for two nights.

I'm considering revisiting this band.

Had a Phish CD years ago that I ended up giving away. Probably didn't give it time. Had a cool tune called "Julius" with a sweet little shuffle beat. Album opener maybe and next tune had the Garcia-esque guitar tone, so I figured it was full of GD-type tunes. Is there a more rocking, less jammy Phish album out there?

Julius - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCtsvVRsqv0

That CD of which you speak is Hoist, which isn't super jammy. Try 'Rift', 'A Picture of Nectar', or 'Billy Breathes'.

All 3 good recommendations, and 'A Picture of Nectar' is my favorite of the "not so jammy' albums.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of the live real jammy stuff. 8)

Chus, what/where is Northerly Island?

It's not really an island, it's a peninsula on the other side of Burnham Harbor from Soldier Field. There is an outdoor theater there, and Phish is playing three shows from 7/19-7/21. There is a huge lawn seating area. You could show up on the day of the show early, and probably score a lawn ticket for $20 or $30.
