Today is my favorite holiday,why? Simple it is inclusive for every citizen of American. Rich or Poor. White or Black or Brown or Yellow. Born here or naturalized. We celebrate and remember when some people who really did not have to decided they wanted to be free from oppression and strike out on their own. To do something never done before in the history of mankind. No King nor potentate but every man equal in the system. I know it was not perfect to start with nor is it now, but look around nowhere else in the world has something like this gone on and thrived like we do.
It is also a day to remember that in most of the times we where dragged into conflict with other nations we did not keep captured lands but gave them back or gave them their freedom. Would have been easy at times,it was the way others did it but not us. Most of the time we came not as conquerors but as Liberators. SO have a great ,safe and happy Fourth of July.
