Has anyone here heard Norm MacDonald's podcast? Like most everything he does... gold.

Carolla has been awesome as usual lately

Barely listen to Maron at all anymore. Too whiny

Gave Bill Burr's podcast a shot. Not bad. Not much production. Just him yelling about Boston Sports in his garage but good.

Agree on all 3. Stopped with Maron like 2 years ago, when he had Dave Foley from Kids in the Hall on and didn't call Foley on his not supporting his kids and shit-talking their mother bs.

I like how on Alison Rosen's other podcast, the one with just the gang from the Adam Carolla staff (Porcelain Punisher, Gary Half-Tard, et al) they talk shit about Carolla in a way that makes you think he must be a giant douchebag to his employees.

Do they?

I tried the Alison ones and unless its someone I know and like its been Meh. But they changed the format now so Ill give the ones where they B.S. a shot

Adam is absolutely a giant douchebag

Dont do your best. Your best sucks, do MY best

He's a jackass on many levels. But hilarious.

I like when he exposes himself as a loser with his music choices and the fact he thinks people give a shit about his racing. Oh and riding a unicycle!

I don't know, I think Adam is a decent guy. I can see why some might be turned off by his over-bearing personality, but I think he's a pretty genuinely nice person at heart. I don't think Allsion or Bryan dislike him.

Yeah, I mean, I think he's probably ok but an asshole to work with.

I think Drew, Bryan, and Allison are seen as close to his equals. He's kind of a dick to the other guys.

His hypervigiliance is often really just douchiness.

Example: That last race he was in, he explained how he told the other Pro's "Here, do this..." and they did it.

Why the fuck would they do what Adam told them?

He's quite the hypocrite too

With all that said, he's the best talent in the game right now and my favorite host by far.

Exactly. It's pretty clear at this point that Gary doesn't like his nickname, and yet Carolla tries to drop it at least once or twice a week, it seems.
Tho he kinda half-hearts it nowadays, says it without emphasis and only once.

Interested to see what happens when it comes time to shoot Road Hard or whatever the film's gonna be called.
Will Adam turn over hosting the daily podcast to someone while he's filming, Jon Stewart and John Oliver style?

The fact that the Carolla podcast is daily is part of the reason it's popular. It's an easy choice for the morning commute.
Dunno how much of a difference a different host would make as long as it was still daily/same format.

Folks must've complained about the News segment getting short-shrifted; Adam moved it up to before the guest on the most recent in-studio podcast.

The patent troll suit could scuttle the pirate ship. The ACE broadcasting network is by far the largest podcaster on the planet and I doubt the hedge funds et al behind the patent trolls are gonna walk away easily from that payday because they get Joe Rogan or whomever to cut a six-figure check to make em go away.

Writing them a million dollar check now for lifetime rights might be cheaper than fighting it, dragging it out for years and paying million+ in legal fees and then still having to pay up to the trolls--esp if they see the podcasting becoming even more widespread (internet being standard on cars will help podcasts, hurt terrestrial radio to a greater extent than smartphones have) and lucrative.

The show is infinitely better if Joey Diaz is there, but he has a lot of interesting guests from the comedy/drugs world. Oddly enough I don't do drugs but I find some of their discussions fascinating.

Stepping away from the comedy podcasts recently, my newest guilty pleasure is listening to Dave Ramsey's financial podcast.

It's been a hoot listening to people call in with their money problems. But then I realize I'm in the same boat most of the time and resort to bawling my eyes out.

I think the Buffone guy is Dan Van Kirk and he's on Sklarbro County. Sklar brothers are from St Louis, Michigan-Ann Arbor Alums.

A new to me podcast:

http://99percentinvisible.org/

the recent Heyoon episode could qualify for some sort of podcast award. Rebar one's good too.

Carolla's on Simmons BS Report today, reviewing Fast and Furious Six

Carolla keeps rolling as the best show on the planet

Mohr Stories has been good lately for the most part. He had the kid from Jerry Maguire on. I skipped that. No interest.

But Jeff Cesario, Anthonly Jeselnik, and today's Carolla episode are all good.

I wish Jay would stop kissing ass and stop pushing his washed up wife on everybody. He's still great though.

Maron's podcast with Johnny Knoxville was very good.

Oh and I think you are saying you want to have sexual relations with her.

I'm pretty much on a steady diet of Corolla lately he has enough shows an hour to keep me happy and I just don't listen to lose my spot anymore because I've been taking the train to work

I haven't even listen to JJ in months

I still listen to JJ because he has gone to the once a week format. This week he had Greg Proops and it was ok.
Maron I am more hit and miss with, I refuse to listen to the music people because he sounds like a fanboy and we are getting to the point where he has interviewed everyone. I think his best shows are the live WTFs.

My favorite podcast at the moment is Doug loves movies. I like playing the Leonard Maltin game.

Didn't even know he went to once a week

The podcast was bound to suffer a little bit with him doing a daily show....only so much JJ to go round

Whatever I get a little Corolla out Ill listen to MS for a week

I've expressed my apathy towards Joe Koy on Carolla's podcast before, but I must admit the "Floaters" and "Drells" bits are pretty funny. They don't hold a candle to DAG and Teddy Pandergrass though.

They are really funny. I also laughed a lot at Brian Callen's Eddie character from last week.

Yeah, that was awesome...so many awesome people...

I have trouble following things when they have that many people, but did the guy who donated money to get a seat on the panel end up winning the whole thing?

Yes he did. My only complaint is that Oates of Garfunkel and Oates was eliminated right away.
Next time he is in Philly doing the show, I'm going.

Ive been listening to About Last Night recently. Real good stuff. Brad Williams is decent and Adam Ray is hilarious

Ray is making the rounds on the podcast circuit right now. His Mohr Stories was real good

Also been trying out Baldwin's show. He has good guests. Lorne Michaels, Letterman, Michael Douglas
