I hate him. I hate him so fucking much he makes me want to punch my TV. Pick up the fucking baseball you stone handed pile of shit. They HAVE to get a centerfielder in one of the deadline trades. This asshole can not continue to be the everyday centerfielder. He Can Not.

Now that Paul Konerko is on the DL, I wonder if we'll see Alejandro De Aza in LF instead of CF with Jordan Danks covering the tabs there & Dayan Viciedo DH-ing...

They just lost to Baltimore 4-2 tonight.

When is RV going to rest Alexei Ripken, I mean Ramirez? We've yet to see Gordon Beckham, who homered in the loss tonight, give Ramirez a breather at SS & reading between the lines, RV isn't planning to rest #10 anytime soon.

He's not Cal Ripken, Jr. and RV knows it.

How many of those Rays hitters will Hawk say something to the effect of this guy "being a tough out" or, "has always hit the ball well against us"

over/under is set at 4.5

Glad the new guys are in the lineup.

Maybe I'll actually watch tonight.

Well it's only one game but the Phegaloon came as advertised. He can hit a little and he can throw but he can't catch. This catcher battle is going to be very interesting for the rest of the year. They both do some things well and others very badly.

Simon Castro looked pretty darn good. I like that they brought him up as a reliever to give him a taste of the big leagues and hopefully he battles for a spot in the rotation next season.

Those comps for Wil Myers to Dale Murphy are right on the money. Which of course means they're going to have the same exact statistical career because that's how comps work. Fuckin idiots.

He's on this roster because the White Sox think Jordan Danks needs more ABs. He won't get them here right now, which explains why Jordan was sent back to Charlotte after yesterday's game vs. Baltimore.

Besides, I think Blake Tekotte's promotion is temporary, considering Dewayne Wise (remember him?) is supposed to start a rehab assignment tomorrow for Triple "A" Charlotte. Wise has been out for about a month with a hamstring, and is supposedly thisclose to returning to the 25 man roster.

Danks should start 80 games in a row just to see what he is. There's a chance he could be better than DeAza IMO.

SHARK would complain after 10 games that he isn't Cal Danks.

Like the throw backs for tonight.

How can a franchise that has existed for such a short time, have throwbacks???

Why does Radio Shack ask for your phone number, when you buy batteries?

Now why would a junior high school want to screw with my head?

Luke Scott's double was the first extra base hit allowed by Sale all season to a left-handed hitter

35 runs over last 11 games for White Sox. But more than half of them (18) came in that June 28th doubleheader vs Indians

The Ballad of "Losing Pitcher" John Danks
(Sung to the tune of "High Hopes")

Next time you’re found watchin’ losing baseball
There a lot to be learned, so listen up, y’all

Just what makes those little statheads
Think this clown’s worth all Reinsdorf’s bread?
When everyone knows that Danks stanks
Even Paulie and Tanks

But he's got low WHIP, he's got low WHIP
He’s got low ERA, BAA and low WHIP

So any time you watch losin’ ball
Remember, it’s not the pitcher’s fault
Even though he gave up the score
Poor guy just didn’t get any run support.

But he's got low WHIP, he's got low WHIP
He’s got low ERA, BAA and low WHIP

Sale is just good enough to lose too. Write a song about him.

Well he hasn't got the most impressive stats
But he doesn't have a loss since the year past
Oh Max Scherzer sch-sch-sch-sch Scherzer
Well he's not that good but in the end
He gives up lots of runs and still gets the win
Oh Max Scherzer sch-sch-sch-sch Scherzer sch-sch-sch-sch Scherzer

Nope. .580 winner. Small sample, true, but I don't think Sale is just good enough to lose like Danks is. Don't worry, when Danks is traded to a contender with a powerful offense you'll get to see him lose 8-6 instead of 3-1.

Sale is 5-8 this year, Orr. Yet he was hand picked by Leyland to be an All Star. I'll trust what he thinks over you.

Over their last 4 or 5 starts, Sale AND Danks have both pitched well enough to win. YOu can't win when the Sox offense gives them zero runs, and its very hard to with when the Sox offense only gives them 1 run.
