This. Leaving KOA mid afternoon just to sit at LAX waiting for the red eye sucks.

What Island are you going to?

Make sure to schedule in a brunch or something with HawaiiYou so you can inform him that Mike North no longer has a morning show on the score.

This is the key questioned to be answered.

Sorry. The delegates me to HAWAIIAN! jokes. Kona side of the Big Island I can help with. Oahu not so much

Hawaii has beautiful weather & beautiful women. I'd advise you during your time there to try to find a job & stay. Even if it's busing tables @ the King Kamehameha Club, it's a better situation than you'll ever find here on the mainland.

Don't get a hotel. Rent a condo instead. Use the kitchen to make most of your meals. They gouge tourists there.

Truth. Though perhaps too late to do. Everything is expensive but you can save an assload of cash if you cook your own meals.

Bring a sleeping pill! 8.5 hours on a plane can drive you nuts.

Save your money & take 3 vacations elsewhere. Hawaii is overrated & waaaay overpriced.

No. I'm sorry you overpaid.

Hawaii is great if you like $50 Cheeseburgers & $15 beers.

I'll take Grand Caymen, St. Thomas, & a dozen other islands before Hawaii.

Scorehead is crazy. Hawaii might be the best place on earth. Do you sit around in the Caribbean smoking cigars telling everybody you are a big shooter?

What type of vacation do you want? Secluded? In the middle of things? Moderately priced? Expensive? Family? Couple? Active? Peaceful? Touristy? Non touristy?

We only spent 2 days on Oahu and one day a friend filled our time. If you stay at an upscale hotel they usually have good recs for restaurants and local stuff. It is an expensive vacation but fun.

Hawaii is beautiful but I can take 3 other island vacations for what 1 trip to Hawaii costs. I guess that's why there chocolate & vanilla. I can smoke Cigars & wear my "I'm a big shooter" t shirt anywhere, but Mrs. Scorehead & I just prefer a few other places on Earth than Hawaii.

I'm kind of an American traveler, I guess. I like the historical stuff in Hawaii too, i feel like the Caribbean lacks that. I find it too touristy at times, even though its a beautiful environment.

We're looking at Turtle Head Bay, or renting a condo on their golf course.
Wife is pushing for the more Luxurious resort stay. I may not need much pushing.
