Well, I listen to Hood all the time and he has been a dick to callers. Not saying it's a constant thing but I've heard it.

Hood only responds unpleasantly when the caller initiates it (not every caller is a nice person). Other than that, Hood is nice to his callers.

Being a huge dick to callers is when it doesn't matter how pleasant or polite the caller is, the host treats them like a jerk. That's what BernSTINE does. Big difference there.

Hood can be a huge dick, I'm not throwing out qualifiers here, 312 threw it out there and I gave my response that was based on my listening to the host in question. He has snapped at callers who were being dicks and he's been a dick to callers who weren't snapping at him.

There may have been stuff, throughout the years, that I've heard that you simply haven't. Yeah, I know it's crazy to even imagine that, but it happens.

Oh, it was entertaining but he was also hugely unprofessional and it cost him any career advancement. Now he's mincemeat, thrashing callers and depressed at being left in the dustbin of radio has-beens. He coulda' been a great, he coulda'....but he isn't.

Rick Telander was a raving peenus but only Hood, to his detriment, had the bolitas to say anything about it. His boldness cost him, but it was a sacrifice because it got Telander off the airwaves. Yes. Johnathan Hood is a heroic figure and it's time we raise him to the level at which he belongs.

What level? Prime time host? Ha! He's relegated to the obscure and the absurd. Barely on the radar.

I like him very much as a host, but he's no martyr. Telander and the show were DOA, it gets cancelled no matter what happens, no matter what Hood did it's off. That's the shame, that's the point here. Show was awful, Hood only needed to be quasi-professional and ride it out, he would have gotten a show on the Score or ESPN after the dust had settled. He couldn't even do that and in the process he made a legion of enemies in the C-Suite. Some martyr, sounds like a guy who overvalued himself and didn't know the way things worked and was a vocal detriment to the show on and off the air. Off the air can pass....ON the air is the cardinal sin.

He clowned for no reason and now he pays for it everyday.

I do RC exercises, they are pretty strong and stable.
