some good audio with Cornette here. First interview since ROH departure...

In his first interview in many, many months Jim Cornette discusses reuniting with The Midnight Express at the Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest, why being inducted into the Hall of Heroes means so much to him, the legacy of the Charlotte territory.

what led to his departure from Ring of Honor, the "Epiphany" that led to his tumultuous final days working for the company, frustrations and issues while working there, his personal thoughts on Kenny King, criticism the business has "passed him by", the source of the personal issues he had with Kevin Steen and others, whether he would be open to returning there as a talent, why he loved working with Delirious, what he's been doing during his time away, whether he ever wants to book wrestling again,

the idea of himself and The Midnights going into the WWE Hall of Fame, his hatred of stunts and crazy spots in wrestling, the new book (the first in a series!) he will be releasing this summer, finally organizing his massive collection of comics, horror memorabilia and wrestling items,

why he's the best he's been physically and mentally in many years and much, much more - an uncensored two hour discussion with one of the most colorful, opinionated personalities ever.

F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE used Sting in their video packages last night highlighting former World Heavyweight Champions for a reason.

There is discussions going around backstage of WWE that Sting is once again interested in joining the company. While he hasn't opened direct negotiations with the company, he has sent feelers to WWE about joining them. There is said to be a lot of confidence and positive vibes on WWE's side that Sting will join their roster eventually.

STAMFORD, Conn. – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Jesús Rodríguez (Ricardo Rodriguez) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s policy.

I saw Jake and DDP up close at an Indy show in LaSalle a month ago. Oddly enough, it was DDP that made me think, "Man, that fucker has aged!"

I really hope they don't sign Matt Morgan. The guy's really boring to me and he's also someone I suspect Vince would try to push to the moon just because of his look.

205. Ahmed Johnson did a lot of coke back around 1996 at the height of his WWF pay. I don't think I have to tell you that Chris and Tammy enjoy their fair share of nose candy. Well once they had blown through their cash but were still jonesing, they got desparate. They asked Ahmed for an eight ball on credit. He laughed and said, "Black people don't believe in credit. But we can barter." Chris asked what he wanted and Ahmed nodded in her direction. Chris looked at Tammy who shrugged before he said, "Well hey don't hurt her, okay?" So like twenty minutes later Ahmed finishes and Tammy leaves his room with the tiny, paper envelope. Instead of going back and using it with Chris (who was in their room freaking out), she did the coke with Shawn Michaels and spent the night in his room. A few hours later a frantic Candido starts banging on Ahmed's door. Ahmed answers the door and Candido asks, "Is Tammy here?" Ahmed shrugs and Chris says, "Where the fuck is Tammy?" Ahmed says he doesn't know because she left hours ago. Candido immediately abandons his search and says, "Well did she take the dope with her?" The next morning he still hasn't seen Tammy so he goes to the front desk where he runs into Shawn Michaels in the lobby. Shawn walks up to Candido and pushes a nostril close, sniffs, and says, "Thanks for the bump, Chris." Chris asked where Tammy was and Shawn said, "She's probably back in your room now." Candido stormed up to see her, got in a big argument, went to the building, and quit on the spot. The agent told him he couldn't quit w/o a written notice. So he picked up a booking sheet, flipped it over, and wrote: "I quit. Chris Candido" And that was the end of his WWF career.

4Maria Kanellis wrote on Twitter this week, “I was offered a WWE contract and the Bellas
made sure I didn’t get it. I’m not bitter. I just don’t like people that mess with my career.” It’s
not the first time she’s said it. Kanellis, The Bella Twins, Kelly Kelly, and one or two other
women earlier this year were offered spots to come back because of the belief the women’s
ranks were too thin and they weren’t ready to bring people up from developmental. They
were going to bring them all back for a multi-person Mania match. Kelly and WWE didn’t
come to terms. Kanellis talks fell apart and the Twins signed to come back. It’s possible those
talks also had to do with needing women for the reality show on E! that nobody knew about
at the time but was being negotiated.

According to several sources in Orlando, the WWE is looking at not only having a Hall of
Fame location in the city, but opening a restaurant at Universal, the former home of Impact
Wrestling. The reports continue that Universal will be closing NBA City and replacing it with
a WWE building. The latest report is that it would not only house the physical WWE Hall of
Fame, but would also include a WWE themed restaurant. While people may roll their eyes
given how much money the company lost the last time it had a restaurant, it’s a very different
level expense to have something in a theme park than on Times Square, where costs of rent
are astronomical. The location is about 500 feet away from the sound stage that used to be
known as the Impact Zone. Those in WWE have said they have no information on this.

After watching Punk vs. Orton, Austin Tweeted to Punk, Lay your shit in, bro. It’s TV.”
Austin may be the only person of any relevance who can say that to Punk without a
comeback.

Stephanie McMahon sold another 58,016 shares of her WWE stock for $601,749. It’s not that
alarming, as she sold another 280,000 shares in May and June, but also had purchased
420,000 shares on 5/15.

Former WWE and WCW performer Stacy Keibler, 33, is now broken up with George
Clooney, 52. People Magazine reported it that Keibler broke up with Clooney, stating that
she wanted to have children and Clooney didn’t, so they finally talked about it and broke up
over it a few weeks ago. The story is that they still talk every day and remain on good terms.
However, the New York Post reported it as Clooney asking Keibler to move out of his
Hollywood mansion a few weeks ago, saying Clooney is fine with any story saying she broke
it off because he doesn’t want to make her come off badly in public.

Regarding the Ric Flair/Roddy Piper Wife Swap show, where the show ended with the idea
that spending the week with Wendy Barlow caused the Piper family to consider moving off
the mountain is kind of funny. Last year, Piper was on a Biography Channel reality show
called “Celebrity House Hunting,” which involved him looking to buy a new house.

Ion Croitoru, 47, better known as Johnny K-9 and Bruiser Bedlam during his pro wrestling
career, pleaded guilty to a conspiracy involving the planned gangland slaying of the Bacon
Brothers, who headed a rival gang called the Red Scorpions. Croitoru and four other United
Nations gang members gunned down 24-year-old Jonathan Barber in 2011 in Vancouver, in a
case of a mistaken identity. Barber was a stereo installer who was driving one of the Bacon
Brothers Porches. His girlfriend, following in another car, was wounded by the automatic
gunfire. Croitoru and the other four were originally charged with first degree murder. He’s
facing between 11 and 14 years in prison. He’s had a long list of arrests over the years. A
powerlifter, Croitoru wrestled as enhancement talent for WWF from 1985-89, and got a push
as a heel, managed by Jim Cornette, in Smoky Mountain Wrestling as Bruiser Bedlam, in
1994.

The Buffalo News ran a story on Dick “Destroyer” Beyer, who turns 83 this week. Beyer is
opening up a Park Golf course on nine acres next to his home. Park Golf has longer holes
than miniature golf, but is much smaller than standard golf courses. Most holes are close to
30 to 60 yards. Beyer for years has had a two-hole course in his backyard and has been
playing it. Kris Beyer Jones, his daughter, proposed the idea of the course to town officials in
Akron, NY, where Dick lives. The course opened over the weekend. The game appeals in
particular to older golfers who can no longer do full swings due to injuries and the cost for a
game is $8. The course will also have The Destroyer wrestling museum, with a lot of his
artifacts, and he will be there almost every morning. Beyer said he’s going to open the place
every morning at 7 a.m., some days he’ll wear his mask and some days he won’t. Beyer, who
stayed in great shape longer than most wrestlers of his generation, is paying the price now.
The worse thing he has is neuropathy, causing numbness in his hands and feet. “I’m healthy.
I get around with a walker alright. I’ve had two hips replaced, a knee replaced and a shoulder
replaced,” he said. “So I’ve been chewed up in wrestling, but I’d do it all over again. I can
still play park golf. And you can play it too.”

Rhett Titus appeared in the background during a segment on the 7/8 Raw in Baltimore. Titus
was there for a pre-show tryout and they put him in a segment. He can do that because he’s
not under contract with ROH (which would prohibit that from happening). He’s not on
current ROH lineups as part of the angle where SCUM has broken up.

Universal wanted to get rid of the under performing NBA City, but they needed to take a bad contract back in return.

I was wondering this for Money in the Bank, do we get a Mark Henry win, maybe give him the title for all the years he has given and just have Cena win it back at Summerslam.

Could still do the triple threat with Henry, Cena, and Bryan.

I hope they don't do this, but is talk Kane will be out of the match and possibly Wyatt put in, hope they don't go that way that quick.

WWE star Kane is out of the WWE Title Money in the Bank ladder match at Sunday's PPV.

WWE announced the line-up change during the Australian airing of this week's Smackdown episode, which will air Friday night on Syfy in the U.S.

During the Smackdown episode, WWE did not say whether Kane will be replaced. There has been speculation that Bray Wyatt will replace Kane after the Wyatt Family took out Kane on Monday's Raw as part of the injury angle.

[ Thanks to correspondents Nicholas Perry and Cohen ]

Too soon.

Will it be aired or was it a special dark match like Punk/Ambrose vs. Cesaro/Ohno a few months back?

Road Dogg seems to have found himself quite a nice niche in the whole company. I would have never dreamed we would see him in these spots. Good for him. I always enjoyed his work. The New Age Outlaws will always be one of my favorites tag teams

To all of you young stockholders out there, I'd like to remind you of something for the fourth time. The New Age Outlaws hold high level management positions in a publicly traded company.

It means don't hold back - make it real. When you throw a punch, don't pull it so it looks weak. Its a contact sport, make contact. Doesn't mean hurt your opponent, just means work stiff and "lay it in".

If it matters, looks like the Ultimate Warrior will be in the new WWE video game, now the thinking it that could lead to Hall of Fame and other stuff.

WrestleZone can exclusively report Dave Bautista, aka former WWE Champion "Batista," has been in talks with Triple H about a short term WWE return ala Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam.

Sources close to the situation say Batista and Triple H have been talking about best possible scenarios in terms of creative, and how long the deal will last, which we've heard can be anywhere between 90 to 180 days.

Rhodes vs. Sandow at Summerslam

After WWE Money in the Bank, there were discussions backstage of having Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow at WWE Summerslam with the briefcase on the line. It looks like WWE is going to try and push both guys at the same time, with Rhodes ultimately becoming the face.

Heat on The Shield

Rumblings backstage are saying that there is heat on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, F4WOnline.com is reporting. There has not been more information revealed, but this could be a reason why the tag team was bumped from the live show and put on the pre show event last night.

Rumblings backstage are saying that there is heat on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, F4WOnline.com is reporting. There has not been more information revealed, but this could be a reason why the tag team was bumped from the live show and put on the pre show event last night.

Is this even true or just some hack journalism? I imagine the reason they weren't on the show was due to the fact that it was pretty damn loaded.

I guess you could cut out the Brad Maddox crap, but where was it supposed to fit in?

I've heard Meltzer, Alvarez, Keller, and Court Bauer all mention it at different times over the last 2 weeks. All the heat is on Seth, none on Reigns. Vince loves him from what I heard. Rollins has a bad attitude, acts "entitled". Always has I guess.
