Brock's still gonna come IMO, but Axel shouldn't have been anywhere near this match.

Or not. I guess they didn't want to waste one of his appearances.

naw, i get it. it's a total mindfuck feud with heyman/punk/bork. heyman's gotta still play the "i'm on your side, punk" card even tho BORK dispenses the real justice.

and yes, i love saying BORK too much. BORK BORK BORK BORK BORK

also, fuck ortman

I'm glad the WWE used this PPV to really put over some fresh faces and some of the young talent they have on the roster.

WHERE'S BORK?!?!! GODDAMMIT WHERE THE FUCK IS BORK LASER?!?!?! instead we got axel to carry on the heyman/punk feud?!?! jesus, they must have a meager # of appearances worked out for BORK so they didn't want to use up one of his appearances on a PPV cuz it prolly costs more / comes out of a very finite # of PPV appearances and if they're gonna use BORK at a PPV, well, its not for a run in.

cuz goddammit after that axel run in it was totally set up for BORK to terrorize punk, but instead we gotta re-re-re-re-re-christen the legend killer. GOAT match if you believe bradshaw. he's gonna soap up axel in the shower tonight.

I can't even begin to tell you how much better Bob Loblaw's booking was for the final. If you put fifteen "fans" in a section, and have Lesnar toss a ladder with Punk on it to the crowd, you win in Philly. Or, have Orton win. FUCK YOU.

btw guys, if you don't do the LAW thing, it's always great after a PPV.... check it out @ http://www.tsn.ca/Toronto/listen/ >>> starting now.

LAW, as always, is sponsored by WWE FILMS, who is bringing you POOR LITTLE WHITE GUY 2: THE WIGGERING starring JOHN CENA

Image

join WWE superstar JOHN ANTHONY FELIX CENA as he expands more than his horizons as he gets to the root of his wiggerdom in POOR LITTLE WHITE GUY 2: THE WIGGERING. watch as he refuses to "job clean" to mark henry and pals, necessiting a run-in by THE SHIELD to beat him down sufficiently enough to "take a finisher" from BIG E LANGSTON, aka RYBLACK.

and yeah, i've got nothing. but hey i was able to drop the cover of POOR LITTLE WHITE GUY on the board twice in context, so today was a good day.

Edit:Almost forgot
FUCK YOU KEEPING SCORE

yeah, KS. that's for you jinxing the fuck out of smoke and not using your considerable racing influence to get us another helton caution or two so our guy smoke could have enough gas to finish. once vickers passed him clean he should have bit the bullet and tried to pit.... instead, sigh, c'est la vie. only when you start depending on helton cautions do you get bit by them.

You can't use the same joke for Elmhurst Steve and John Cena.

And you definitely can't do it on the same day.

prolly. keep in mind that Jericho is essentially back to be the jobber to the stars.... erm, "talent enhancement" --- since he's PT he's only there to be a big ballyhooed name to work solid programs with up and coming stars and establish them as credible threats to whatever straps they're going for. since RVD is part-time like jericho, no doubt he's in the same role..... which i'm sure he relishes cuz he gets paid way more than he did @ TNA to do way less since his shoulders won't be sore from carrying the company on his back.

oh wait that's hogan's job....and likely why he had back surgery..... again.

hey chas, hogan is the GOAT by a wide margin, right?

Jerk.

I think my secondary meme for the week is gonna be utilizing the word "Jerkface" cuz I mean, after almost forgetting ~20 times, I need something else to move on to in order to further bury me on the midcard.

All in all, a very solid to solidly good PPV.... that brad maddox shit was the only thing that stood out to me as being utter tosh and thus out of place (i agree 100% with LAW---- raw at best) cuz like, at this point in THE YEAR OF CENA i'm used to just about every PPV ending with CENAWINSLOL (cuz obviously the Rumbel ended with the rock, but otherwise, for the most part (i.e. the next post-rumbel ppv that had the punk/rock rematch) it's been str8up CENAWINSLOL to end your $55 night up until this one, so instead we get the randy orton thing.

also, wow.... you know, i completely forgot about Ryback/Jericho..... i mean, shit, ryback is horrible. he dragged down Jericho to a horrible match, and even tho Jericho has been sleepwalking in PPVs since his last return (again, check out the 2009 king of the ring tournament for a real punk/jericho match) and skip sheffield is just hot garbage. he works stiff, injures the talent, has no mic skills....and like i said, even when you got jericho sleepwalking as we enter fozzy season, good god man, alls i can say is that i completely forgot about this match. i mean at least i knew the del rio match happened, but this one? yikes. no promotion leading up to the match, no hype, no buzz, no purpose other than "oh yeah we still gotta do something with jericho and ryback so here they are" and again, it doesnt help when ryback pulls everyone down to his level in his matches..... and then he legit hurts them for good measure.

but yeah, no signs of the whole CENAWINSLOL thing going away, but at least this time it wasn't the ender.... and welp, they did the right thing by not ending the night with it..... even tho ortman winning is kind of bleh cuz he started off so damn young that we've seen him do just about everything and therefore we're tired of it, even tho for big bad proper 2013 WWE MAIN EVENTERS, yeah, ortman does the job.....and i mean htat multiple ways, he actually jobs clean to people unlike cena, so he's paid his dues after the last wellness violation and when he closes out the night doing his soulless posing.... well at least he earned it. and i still think shitting in the bag is cool.

also, like chas, i bemoan the lack of HHH in tonight's PPV. it's not a proper WWE PPV without the game.... and i reckon we'll see plenty of him and those wascally mcmahons on raw over the coming weeks (likely mediating over the vickie drama) so i'll forgive him for now.... somehow he's gonna end up involved in the biggest match of summerslam (just like he had to be the ref for cena/punk to kick off the summer of punk) and then i'll sleep easy cuz all is right in the WWE universe when 48 time champ HHH is back on top of the game, cuz you know, it's all about the game....just ask his titantron theme music.

so all in all LAW is dead on saying this isn't the strongest MITB, esepcially compared to the last 2, and with only ~3 dead matches and maddox crap, welp, it keeps the storylines going til summerfest.

then again, man, BORK's contract must have stipulations for not only a certain # of appearances, but a certain (low) # of PPV appearances.... cuz there was no reason for him not to be out there unless they've got like ~1-3 PPV appearances in his contract and they didn't technically wanna burn one up using him to set up the summerslam feud, cuz it it comes down to 6 figures to even show his face in a PPV, welp, look forward to seeing him pop up on raw tomorrow or the nextweek in order to start the ball rolling with the BORK/PUNK summerfest match. if summerfest gives us AXEL/PUNK i'll truly be disappointed. punk deserves more than that, even if it's not laying it in enough! </SCSA>

Now we see how they will go into SUmmerslam and how do you go with title matches, there was talk of Bryan-Cena and maybe triple threat, but after tonight, they built towards Bryan-Axel, Cena with nobody.

Do they give us a Del RIo-Ziggler, no DQ match

Add to me as those that thought Lesnar would come in and cost Punk the match, but maybe they didn't want to give a ppv without promoting him, maybe get more buyrates if people know he will be on it.

oh and in writing all of that up, i totally buried the lead cuz i wanted to make it a special point to say it: MOTHERFUCKING DAMIEN SANDOW WON THE WHC MITB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn straight, i can't wait to see him worked some hot promos, cuz that man is the goods on the mic. i love the whole SILENCE!!!!! thing, and i wanted to get his evolution shirt b4 all of this happened (cuz no doubt they're ready to drop a brand new one now that he's got the MITB briefcase going on.

obviously he's gonna talk up his intellectual angle re: when he cashes it in, and there will be a big onus/focus on him being supremely intelligent so he will ONLY cash it in at the perfect moment... and shit, any excuse to get him out there in his pimprobe belting out SILENCE! is a total win for me. the guy totally does it for me on the stick, he can work in the ring, and i love his gimmick when it isn't being toned down into a one-bit "herpa derp look at the smart guy pale in comparison to sheamus (who doesn't really) cuz LOL U THINK UR SO SMART?!?!?! BRO' KICK MOTHERFUCKER HAHAHHAHA FUCKING NERD I <3 SHAMUS CUZ I CAN RELATE TO HIM WHEN PPL ARE ACTING ALL SMART TO ME I JUST BRO' KICK 'EM CUZ THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME TO DO WHEN I DIALED 1-800-FELLA.

admit it guys: you marked out hard and spent no less than $50 total calling up 1-800-FELLA to get tomes of wisdom and inspiration from wrestlingboyshamus cuz, hahahhahah oh my fucking LOL, 1-800-FELLA = best program in the last 10 years.

oh wow, ultimate warrior news? he's gonna be in WWE 2K14?!!??! they finally got hellwig?!?! HELLYEAH.

now they can go get stinger and we'll get this party started * grabs his bat and descends from the rafters to enforce WARRIOR HOF 2014 *

Bryan-Axel would be an utter waste of time. The fans don't care about Axel, and someone whose never had the full push like Bryan shouldn't have his momentum sacrificed to change that.

wow, some caller to the LAW says that sandow is garbage cuz he's a comedy heel..... and he thinks htat Fandango should have won.

"they're already pushing him.... they gave him a win at wrestlemania and they were pushing him, so why stop now?"

thank god the LAW hosts spoke the truth by saying that sandow ISN'T a comedy heel. sandow is hilarious, true, but it's not because of a LAUGH-AT-ME gimmick....it's cuz his stickwork is proper..... he delivers the goods.... and when you're not trying to make a farce of it all, that's the sign of quality.

Fandango was a fucking meme.... a gimmick of a gimmick. it caught on thanks to two good crowds @ mania and the first raw after, and WWE was quick to shove it down our throats via social media;.... but that one has flown the coup. the concussion was also horribly timed for 'dango cuz whatever motivation/push he had left was used up. people aren't there to see johnny curtis wrestle.... they were there to see fandango make an ass of himself. it's literally v2.0 of the brodus clay thing, and look at how quickly he ended up in a tagteam job squad. such is the fate for fandango, cuz as literaly as you wanna take it: dancers need partners. fandango needs someone to work with in order to ratchet up interest until he establishes that he can actually work in the ring.

but yeah, i'm so fucking glad that sandow one..... it's time to cut promos and chew bubblegum.... and i'm all out of gum! SILENCE!

yeah but we're at the point where we know that all ryback matches are hot garbage so we're looking at it through the lens of a jericho match, and in this case the disappointment comes from skipper dragging jericho down to new lows.

HEY NOW, HEADS UP..... caller to the LAW says there's a guy on reddit who shows up ~30mins b4 the WWE PPVs and has accurately given all of the results sicne mania..... has anyone seen this or knows what i'm talking aboiut? if so can you give me a link? i try to avoid reddit out of principle (4chan4LYFE / down with S.R.S.) but still, i wanna see these threads which i presume are on something like /r/WWE cuz like, shit, if this guy knows all of the results 30mins b4 the PPV then he prolly has some awesome insider stories that i wanna read. Also, it looks like we will be losing the Ziggler-AJ relationship.

This will probably setup a program between Big E and Ziggler.

I would have liked to see something like this...

8 minutes left in the match..the lights go out for 3 seconds. Lights back up and the Wyatt family is dragging Sheamus up the ramp/out of the match. We don't see Sheamus again for a few months.

3-4 minutes left in the match, Orkman and Christian are setting up a high spot on the ramp/entrance in front of the Titon-Tron. Tables, ladders, etc.

2 minutes left......BOOM! Brock's music hits. Paul E. comes out followed by Brock. (Pan to Punk who is still in the ring with Dragon and RVD. Punk sells the Brock pop).

Paul E. points to Christian and says BROCK SMASH. Brock powerbombs Christian through before mentioned table. Out of match

Paul E. points to Orkman and says BROCK SMASH. Brock F5's Randall on the ramp. Out of match.

This leaves Punk, RVD, and Dragon. Brock and Paul E. make their way to the ring.

Brock takes out Dragon. Punk takes out RVD. Brock and Paul E. sell it as Brock are protecting Punk

Punk and Paul E. give each other a thumbs up as Punk ascends the ladder and Brock stands guard, as everyone else has been laid out by Brock.

Punk is about to grab the case and Brock picks up the ladder and throws it 50 feet towards the ramp with Punk on it.

Brock grabs another another ladder and grabs the case.

(Wishful thinking here), Paul E. cuts an awesome, vintage Heyman promo ending the PPV.

Where to go after MITB? Punk's feud is with Heyman, not Brock. Have Heyman put together some sort of stable that Punk has to go through. This gives all the other guys they don't have anything going for them trying to "get in the stable" or be a "Heyman guy".

Have comedy segments with guys who have nothing going or it gives Santino something to do trying to prove themselves to Paul E. At the same time Heyman is putting legit guys together. Maybe NXT call ups? Maybe current guys who need to be repackaged? Almost a Raven's Flock sort of deal. Punk now has months of guys to go through in his feud with Heyman. But...what is Punk's ultimate payoff in this feud...

At the same time, Brock is trolling the piss out of Cena. Tons of awesome promos with him and Paul E. about "you don't when or where", etc. Brock can just show up randomly and do run ins and smash guys. Brock never touches the case. He has Heyman always carry the case and Paul E. cuts promos every week since Brock doesn't appear weekly.

What's Punk's payoff in the Heyman feud? Punk gets Heyman to put up the MITB case in a match with someone and Punk gets the case. This leads up to Rumble and Mania where you now have Brock, Cena, Punk, Rocky, Taker, and a briefcase all in play.

Cena can still feud with Henry, etc. while trolled by Brock. Hopefully a Dragon vs Cena match too. Punk gets turned FULL face after this. Wyatt Family is involved and gets something out of it. Sheamus gets something out of it. Punk gets a run with a stable of guys who can get an opportunity. Not saying Kofi is gonna go heel and be manged by Heyman, but he'll put together a group. Maybe Heyman takes in The Ryback...Still haven't even considered how The Shield could be used in this.
