per Berns, Sox don't care if Sale blows out elbow. He is still cheap even if you assume that. at 24 he can recover and still be good. plus sox have insurance.

That's ok. A lot of stupidd talkers talk on every show. Doesn't seem to be the biggest reason to have someone on. They don't seem to have a goto guy for the Sox. Beltin Bill Melton maybe? Kasper for WCUB is the real goto guy I guess. Am I missing someone?

"WSOX" does not have a Sox expert for some reason. Perhaps WSCR is thumbing its nose at JR.

Of course you would. I'm not old enough to remember Boers' Bulls beat writer days, so perhaps he was breaking stories left and right. But Dan talks about his history as if he followed teams for decades. Perhaps Im forgetting, but was he ever a beat "writer" or did he simply file reports on the Bulls and Bears? What stories did he break?

Well, I think there are a couple different schools of thought. I don't think a guy like K.C. Johnson is a born ass-kisser. I think he truly believes that a certain amount of "shilling for the team" (though he probably wouldn't call it that) allows him to get stuff that others can't.

Funny you mention Zaidman and KC Johnson in the same post, because I refer to KC Johnson as "ZZ Johnson" based on his houseman approach to covering the Bulls. I tweeted that to Bernsy. Of course he wasn't going to respond but someone I don't know must've read it because they RT'ed it.
