Enterprising tax-fraud agents are probably hard to find.

Tax auditors are going to question why someone would demand payment in one location but, coincidentally, work for free here in their state while performing the same task.

With states like Illinois looking under every rock, good luck with that argument.

This word, "fraud", is an ugly word.

Tax avoidance is what would be happening.

 I get back to the show today and the first thing I hear is Matty telling Terry that his next stage of life will be when he does not know he has pooped. And Terry replies he is already there.

Moving to Florida is a tax avoidance strategy.

Pretending I'm not getting paid for something so I don't have to pay tax for it is a freedom avoidance strategy.

It's also a murder conviction avoidance strategy.

I hate this whole idea that superstars are only going to play for Texas and Florida teams because there's no state income tax and there's not a fishbowl. Will Leitch wrote a stupid article to this effect last week. People will still want to play for the Lakers, Yankees, whatever. But I guess everything is about brand-building in GUANGZHOOOUUUUU and creating generational wealth. California's too expensive! :(

IF LEBRON DOES SOMETHING, THAT IS THE BEST WAY THAT SAID THING CAN BE DONE

Here's Mr. Mattoon on why you shouldn't work in New York City:

Quote:
* You can make more money there.

This was once true in baseball, before the Yankees started slashing their budget and the Mets began searching through their couch cushions for change, but it's definitely not true in any other, capped sports, particularly when you add in a crazy city tax rate and the added expenses. You're better off going to Florida and Texas, which have lower taxes and big houses where you can hide from the public.

Not coincidentally, Leitch is taking his dubious talents to Athens, Georgia (what did he do, review a restaurant at the corner of Park and Madison?), where his sobering anecdotes of trailer trash eating imaginary sandwiches will be met with "hey, my buddy Clem does that."

Dan clearly read this article before today's show. I heard most of this rehashed today.

I'd rather be taxed to death in New York than be alive in Florida.

Lyrically elite high end metal. Back in the day, Iron Maiden fit that bill, but I don't know if it was really true.

I think Mustaine has always wrote lyrics about society. Foreclosure Of A Dream was about the American farmer going broke. His last few albums have been political. I wouldn't say I form my opinions from Megadeth albums, but at least he tries to be socially conscious.
