Jurko would be a HUGE upgrade from Candypants. Mac & Jurko would be a much better show than Mac & Spiegel. Finfer would be good as a 3rd.

I'd put 10 SHARKS, 8 Mini Ditkas, and an NSJ on a radio show before Finfer.

I think ESPN stays the same ESPN show with or without Jurco. The letters bring people in. Its a national brand.

However, his addition to WSCR would boost everything up another notch.

Mac is under contract. Earlier today Meat said that he is "going on vacation next week & who knows after that", with a chuckle, indicating that his deal runs out the end of July. It certainly sounded like the end of the line for the Candy Man. This Friday would probably be his last day at the Score. If he isn't renewed before he goes on vacation, I highly doubt that Mitch will resign him after he returns, but that is certainly wishful thinking on my part. The fact that Mac has neither defended Meat or said a word about him here is very telling.
Who else would be a possible partner for Mac? Does anyone think that it might be...it could be...HARRY?

I hope you guys are right. I originally thought there was a chance meat was getting shit canned or re-assigned to part time weekends or something. I had lost that feeling until reading some of this today. I listened to the second half of their show today and it was tolerable though it seemed like they were borderline mocking shane matthews for being a backup. It reminded me of when the princess was putting his entire foot and leg in his mouth talking to the the USA hockey alum. Then that god damn whining about the goal posts peg started up again....and then show pot bitching..... It's time for the princess to pack his shit and move along.

Mac Jurko & Terry would be my dream line-up, but they probably skew too elderly for the local programming geniuses vis-a-vis the desired audience demographics. That plus Scorehead's insanely high rate of accuracy in his predictions over the years (or just his predictions about Meat) makes me think that ain't gonna happen.

I don't like Jurko. He's not a dumb guy, but he goes too far out of his way to act like one for his radio persona. He doesn't have to be useless, but IMHO he adds nothing to the shows he's been on.

You're right about the demographics. But the younger guys at Der Schnore are terrible. None are a compelling listen and most have zero personality. They just give information and talk about shit I can already figure out on my own or get from the internet. You need to have an edge to get people to listen. Be amusing, be a down to earth guy or excel at enraging people. I'd take the older crew over the semi-educated vegetables that are McKnight and Ostrowski. Larry is better than those two.
