I am tuning in for the whole show today. I hope it is a good one and makes the day go quickly.
They are at Bears camp so I have high hopes.

Finfer is the biggest Cubs meatball. He could rival RPB. Said he has no problem with the Edwin Jackson deal.

I don't like Finfer, so I'm biased. But I get the sense Finfer just says stuff he doesn't even really believe.

It's not a bad deal because it's not crippling like Soriano's deal? A bad deal is a bad deal.

Finfer talks Illini sports. That immediately makes the show better.

Talking Detroit Lions now.

I am already tired of the NFL.

Finji, by the way, another guy that stopped posting here.

He's the 16th ranked F poster in CSFMB history and hasn't posted since around the whole Spiegel/YourMom blow up.

We're losing our destination message board standing.

I have the show on in the background. Is that Matt Bowen or Doug Buffone on? I can't differentiate their voices

What Edwin Jackson deal? Did they boot the asshat? ...or re-sign him?

If I worked in the business I would not visit this site on a regular basis. Maybe every few weeks or so. Overall the site is pretty fucking negative and if you have to read the same shit from the same people everyday what good is that? I've worked in a public position a few times. When things are good, the same loud 1% bitch. When things are bad, the 1% are even louder and drag in some lemmings with them. Be aware of the discussion, but you cannot let message board and social media opinions completely consume you. Its not healthy. This is not the end all, be all of their listening audience, ratings, etc.

The original signing.

Mac said it was a bad deal and Finfer said that's the just the cost for an average free ajent pitcher.

The hell it isn't!

You need to limit your response to 140 characters, mister.

Do you think 99% of the audience likes Finfer and Speigs?

I didn't say that at all, but nice try. I would guess a higher percentage of listeners like them than this board would represent. Maybe not. Just my take. We are the harshest of critics. We also are the loudest supporters if we find someone we like. My point is if I'm Speigel and I read the same shit here everyday, what's the point of continuing to come back. Tons and tons of personal attacks, few constructive criticisms. Like I said, maybe check it out once a month and see what people like and don't. It's one outlet to get a feel for things. Also, a lot of our criticisms can just be personal preference. This isn't like solving a math problem where there's only one answer. This board gets a little too high and mighty about how it important it perceives itself to be.

I'm just giving a view of how I see it. Doesn't mean I'm right. Doesn't mean I support or hate Speigel/Finfer/etc.

You're descriptions of the board sound a lot like sports-talk radio itself, WR. Many similarities.

Many of the same reasons people who work in sports-talk radio would stop visiting this board are the same reasons people stop listening to sports-talk radio.
