Many of the same reasons people who work in sports-talk radio would stop visiting this board are the same reasons people stop listening to sports-talk radio.

I don't understand how people can prefer Finfer to Spiegs. Spiegs is so much more entertaining to listen to.

I didn't say that at all, but nice try. I would guess a higher percentage of listeners like them than this board would represent. Maybe not. Just my take. We are the harshest of critics. We also are the loudest supporters if we find someone we like. My point is if I'm Speigel and I read the same shit here everyday, what's the point of continuing to come back. Tons and tons of personal attacks, few constructive criticisms. Like I said, maybe check it out once a month and see what people like and don't. It's one outlet to get a feel for things. Also, a lot of our criticisms can just be personal preference. This isn't like solving a math problem where there's only one answer. This board gets a little too high and mighty about how it important it perceives itself to be.

I'm just giving a view of how I see it. Doesn't mean I'm right. Doesn't mean I support or hate Speigel/Finfer/etc.

* Rico doesn't count. Anybody listening to him was an idiot in the first place.
* Most everybody thought Carmen & Silvy was great but they were broken up.
* Score is Doomed thought the Score was doomed for 8 years now, but it thrives on. SID is also J. Hood for those that didn't know.
* Most people love(d) Hoodie but he was launched. (He sucks as SID though)
* The far greater majority has hated Laurence forever, yet he marches on.
* 3 people here like Mully/Handjob, yet they pull in the highest ratings and continue on.

I could go on, but I gotta run.

Also tons of hate for B&B here, but for sports talk radio, they are doing fine in ratings. The things that get bitched about here on a daily basis are most likely not everything the everyday listener is bitching about. A big part of my point was in regards to why should any host give a shit about this place since for some people it is filled with personal attacks on an almost daily basis.

I think a host has FAR more to lose posting on this board than whatever minimal gains could possibly be made.

You guys are spot on, the board and callers should all be Maddux Boy .

I would cover for SHARK, Drop In, Dave in Champaign, my Mom, and Urlacher's Missing Neck. After that, the list gets pretty thin. There are a few people about whom I would definitely fabricate charges.
