Just watched "The Crow" a few weeks ago in Bluray. I think it's still one of the best movies of any genre.

It holds up well in that it seems today every comic book movie "hero" has to be dark as fuck. The soundtrack was awesome too. Seeing one of my favorite bands from high school, local Wax Trax! guys that I've seen at The Metro, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, on screen during the scene where Lee kills a room full of dudes, that was great.

I know the movie has Brandon Lee's bizarre death hanging over it,but he played the role to perfection. That line about a "Mother is the word for god on every child's lips" was pure genius whomever wrote it.

I used to work a night shift that would get me home between 2-4am. Channel 7 would usually be showing either a B&W Blondie movie or Fred & Ginger movies. Since I only got 3 channels, I'd usually watch it before I went to bed.

I got a healthy appreciation of Fred Astaire's talent. He did a routine in one of those movies where he tapped and played the drums with his feet to the music that was astounding. Top Hat, The Gay Divorcee, Swing Time, and others are all quite good. I probably watched all of them half a dozen times since that seemed to be all they ever showed.

I enjoyed Fred's turn as Alistair Mundy on "It Takes a Thief". He played Robert Wagner's dad, also a former master thief.

Here it is. Everything is on youtube.

The last 30 seconds are crazy. The whole thing is pretty crazy. I'd have been out of breath in the first 3 seconds.

Love horror movies...haven't watched as many lately because the last few gf's I dated don't like them. Not as fun to watch horror movies by yourself.
