Why are some exasperated Chicagoans calling for the National Guard to come save them? If there aren't MORE murders, then the outrage from them is significantly higher, and that is not measured on that table.

You should only be allowed to use deadly force to protect yourself. If you are safely locked in your home with a firearm and you see someone stealing your car just call the cops. Your life isnt in any danger if someone is in your driveway. You have a better chance of putting your life in danger by confronting them.

Fair points. I'm only 24 so I don't have a family to take care of. And I grew up in Arlington Heights. So I've never been put in a situation like this. I just can't get over the guy killing a teenager over breaking into his car. Seems extreme.
