Finfer is a dick.

He's pissed and angry over nothingness. He's changed from when he first hit the scene. Once timid, scared and trying to be polite as he intorduced himself to Score listeners. Not anymore.

He's getting "Mackie muscles" now. He's confident, cocky and starting to feel important and "Big Time". He feels secure and emboldened knowing he has Mac's backing. Also a little bit of Bernstein's influence has rubbed off on him. He'll "fuck you" any listener at any time. He's quick with that trigger. Basically looking to do a "Fuck you". But he's not very bright. Just as dumb as the listeners he likes to "Fuck you". Little things during my listen made me aware of this. You just know it when you hear it. Can't really explain it. You had to have heard it.

+1

instant punch the button people on the score (this includes when they partner up with exisiting lineup)

Hub
Laurence Holmes
Finfer
Drinky
Zaidman
that wierd guy on weekend overnights who sounds like he buys the airtime then I find out he won some contest
Shuster

Hub, Finfer & Drinky are great. The rest are garbage.

Finfer was pretty well defined but a topic he started last year about the annoyance of suburbanites coming into his neighborhood for Cubs games. He felt comfortable calling it his neighborhood because he moved there from the suburbs four years prior.

I know Mac is established and has lots of power at the station, but someone needs to talk to him about the people he wants to work with. Porky and Finfer are brutal. I would only let them work weekends, and that would be if there wasn't someone better to pick. Jay sounds uncomfortable when he chims in with bad hockey thoughts. If Mac picked someone with talent to co-host, his show would be great.

I flat out won't listen when one of the little guys from McNeil's boyquarium is let out to speak. None of them has any experience except as producers 8) and jock sniffers with press passes, and it sounds that way.

I actually tried to give ESPN a chance....music this week for me.

Steve Dahl coined this phrase to describe all the young men (including Mac) working on Coppick's old AM1000 show.

Is Meatpants in timeout this week? I've heard Mac, Finfer, & Sayers all making fun of him while he is out. Spiegel has managed to do something that took Murph many years to do...become the most ridiculed & disliked co-worker at WSCR. This week proved that Spiegel is a bad partner for Mac as he & Finfer sound great together. Mac & Mitch would be smart to cut Spiegel loose.

I feel like Finfur has a lot of potential but his douchiness always seems to be overwhelming and he finds a way to be annoying.

Finfur really doesn't have any sources or add anything original when he's on.

However, Mac is much better when Fingy is co-hosting. He's much more comfortable. If Mac could have a Mulligan, he would have made Finfur his co-host instead of Meatpants.

I agree with you that Finfur seems like a better fit, but his personality is so abrasive... doesn't work for me.

He's been on vacation. He's back today.

Me too Jimmy. I'm a long time Finfer guy. He sounds great on the radio & with Mac, but it sure seems like the Producer/part time host role at the Score is a dead end. Finfer is really good on TV too. I enjoy him on CSN.

Count me in to the Finfer fan club. I actually sought out this website/forum for the sole purpose of confirming there are others in Chicago who are tired of Captain lame-o, M. Spiegel.

Welcome aboard. There are others tired of Captain Lame-o.
