I'm listening to his new podcasts and I'm thinking where the hell is this guy that was introduced by Rodney Dangerfield?

He has a supporting role in the new Woody Allen movie.

Listening to the Stern interview right now. This big fuckin' goof admits to gambling away 700,000 3 nights in a row. If that was my dad, brother or son,I'd beat the shit out of him. Stern gave him a hard time about that story.

He does a semi regular show at the Hard Rock now. Never saw the show, but kinda weird that he is a sideshow lounge act that I can hear when walking through the hallway at the Hard Rock, like a Holiday Inn Lounge Band

I really enjoyed his schtick years ago. The Adventures of Ford Fairlane was kind of cultish. Then he got old really quick and probably should have disappeared from the public.

I saw Eddie Murphy's Raw on TV recently. As youngsters we watched that movie and recited it to each other so much that it's safe to say I knew it verbatim. I've forgotten some of it but it's still really, really funny.

Yeah, but I bet you wouldn't pay to see the Klumps III.

i think clay would've made a good actor. and that's what i've considered him more than a stand up. he built that routine solely around a character that he created. i think he let it all get to his head when he was on top.

but yeah, his interviews on stern are good, as chus said.

I liked the carlin one (either jammin in new york or what am i doing in new jersey?) where he finished up the set by postulating that the earth created humanity to bring it styrofoam. that aged well =D

I remember he had a show, I think it was on CBS or Fox. They made a big deal about him going by "Andrew Clay". He tried to do something different from the stand-up, but it didn't last long.

Yes. Hamptons Howie has made up with just about everybody with whom he used to feud, except for Leno. He might still hate Oprah.

And Mancow. Pretty sure he hates Mancow.

Of course, that's like Yankees fans hating the Indians.

Yes, he still hates Mancow and Imus, but they are both a couple of nobodies. According to Stern, Mancow sent him a box of human excrement about fifteen years ago. The box was opened by an intern, not Howie. Howie's response was to tell his audience that he was going to skullfuck Mancow's dead daddy's skull. Pure class, all the way around.

The funniest thing about Andrew Dice Clay was the impression that Gilbert Gottfried did.

Gilbert is/was awesome on the Stern show. Howie and Gilbert's call to Jerry Seinfeld's answering machine, is one of the funniest things that I have ever heard.

I loved him back in the day! I was 17-18 years old when he hit big, and his comedy was right in my wheelhouse. Then it got old. I will admit though that whenever somebody randomly brings up Little Boy Blue, I'm the first idiot to shout out, "He needed the money!!"

It was Jammin' in New York, and it was plastic not Styrofoam. That was the special where he eviscerated everyone else's version of "Airline Humor" by going on a 10 minute monologue about air travel that made everyone else's routine pointless (Get on the plane, get on the plane, I say fuck you, I'm getting in the plane. There seems to be less wind in here).

Agreed, I had a bunch of his routines (including this one) on cd and had them memorized.
