The CFL sabbatical is throwing people off; he's still a proven NFL OC who happens to have CFL HC experience. The pragmatic approach he talked about during the press conference, an approach which will focus on what his players can do, as opposed to what a system expects them to do, should mitigate all the fears about him not knowing what works anymore in today's NFL.

Not to come off as a Trestman apologist, if I haven't already, but every coach has these kind of WTF moments when they take over. Lovie came in here and did things his way, some of which rubbed guys the wrong way. This is all irrelevant until we see what happens on the field. If they start to suck, then this is all fair game, in my opinion.
