I also think it says a lot that the NFL doesn't think abusing women is as bad as racism. Nor the media for that matter. They don't run with those stories like they have ran with this Cooper story. I think they're equally horrible.

But the this Riley Cooper story, this is a front pager that has legs.

Everybody in broadcast media gets their soft/serious voices going when speaking on this.

Caught a little of Hood yesterday when he was talking about it. Hood isn't the most elegant speaker nor the most intelligent sports talker for that matter.

So he gets his serious voice and says something like "Ya know, the N-word is bad. Racism is bad. We shouldn't use the N-word. We shouldn't be racist." Then he pretty much just repeated those lines 5 or 6 times to kill the 10 minute segment and ended it by saying "Me saying it won't change anything. This will be around forever."

One of my buddies went to high school with Cooper. We discussed him back when he was still at Florida because I thought it was cool that he went to school with a few D1 college players. He said he was a huge d-bag back then and he thought it was weird that he was Tebow's roomate as he was kind of known as a party boy and Tebow was obviously Tebow.

My take on this situation now is that the Eagles players need to stop being butt hurt about this and get over it. When he was isolated at practice yesterday Vick should have walked over and shook his hand, slapped him on the shoulder signalling to the rest of the team that this is over. What does putting him on an island and ultimately getting him cut going to do for anyone?

Actually, evolution doesn't take thousands of years. Given selective breeding, it can work wonders over a relatively short period of time. Dogs are a fine example of this process.
