Emergency manager Kevyn Orr has been largely mum on the subject of whether the city could sell art to repay creditors, except to say when he announced that Detroit was filing for bankruptcy that Howdy Doody, the DIA-owned marionette from the original TV show, was not for sale.

I saw this museum on a TV news report. They have some great art hanging and painted on thier walls. (I never knew Detroit had culture!) I would hate to see those pieces sold to some billionare.

It should be available to the Public for thousands to appreciate. I imagine someone like George Clooney sticking a Van Gogh in his Italian retreats basement to be appreciated by Oprah,Alec Baldwin,Robin Williams and the rest of his liberal,smarmy bretheren.
