A man wielding a large hammer made off with an undisclosed amount of money Monday morning at a Park Ridge bank, authorities said.

The bank robbery occurred around 9:15 a.m. at the TCF Bank at 1 W. Devon Ave., in Park Ridge.

The suspect made no verbal threats, but made "threatening gestures" with a large hammer, said FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde. No one was injured, she added.

Authorities described the suspect as a white male, medium build, and standing between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He wore a white hat, white shirt, jeans and black sunglasses, and carried a backpack.

The suspect was seen fleeing the bank in a black Ford Mustang, Hyde said.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the FBI at 312-421-6700.

I looked at that pic and thought that could actually be North. Maybe he had Be google the bank and found out they had lax security.
