I don't hate this commercial, I just don't think I get it.

In the McDonald's commercial for their .49 soft-serve cones, are they likening the cones to pocket/spare change to illustrate how inexpensive they are? The daughter asks her mom if she has any soft-serve cones and she tells her to check the bottom of her purse. The husband is looking for something and his wife tells him to check next to the tray of soft-serve cones on the dresser.

But if, in the commercial, soft-serve cones represent change, you still can't use soft-serve cones to pay for soft-serve cones. Right?

I don't think I get it...

I can't figure out which is less realistic: a grown-up calling the Dougie the Douglas, or a member of our military saying not to rape someone.
