Car plows into Highland Park Binny's store, catches fire
Updated at 11:10 AM today

August 8, 2013 (HIGHLAND PARK, Ill.) (WLS) -- A car slammed into a north suburban liquor store on Thursday morning.

It happened on Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park.

Chopper7 is flying live over the scene.

Witnesses say a driver plowed through the window of the Binny's liquor store around 10 a.m. Thursday. The car came to a stop just inside the store and then caught fire, but the fire was put out quickly.

The driver was removed from the car, but there were no details yet on the person's condition.

It does not appear anyone inside the store was injured.

Police officers and firefighters are on the scene, trying to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
