The last time I was at a Bears game was 1982. Cubs it might be 7-8 years. I'm like North & I think McNeil,too. I prefer my 65 inch screen to real life.

Preseason games 1-2 are not judged by wins or losses. They exist to get guys into the system in simulated game conditions after a long layoff. Games 3-4 should be smoother, but Ws and Ls still don't matter.

Coaches do. Everyone can and should look at individual performances. They aren't the be all end all, but they are useful.

Anyone catch Lewis on Hard Knocks say players don't make the team in practice... They make it in the preseason game?

I have been on the road traveling in St. Louis since Sunday so I haven't heard any Chicago radio since. Are people really bitching & moaning about the first preseason game? Preseason doesn't meant a thing. The Bears are putting in a completely new offensive system & most likely wont run on all 8 cylinders until week 3 or so.
Bear fans...calm the fuck down. The beloved were 1-3 in preseason in 1985.

Yeah, the last 5 spots.

But I am happy trestman is taking the time to practice game conditions and getting plays in , snap counts, etc.

It always pissed me off when Lovie didnt play the starters, then the first 4 games of the year, we had dumb penalty after dumb penalty, because of shit like snap counts and pre whistle line penalties.

The shit about a cerebrial coach, you can go suck it! Jauron, Smith and even Landry. I dont need a coach to yell but I do want him to communicate in a quick time frame, because that is what the game is. It's not patience, its fact paced and if you dont practice fast paced, how the fuck do you expect to ever do well in a fast paced situation?

If you dont agree with me, please feel free to see any game or half in which the Bears had a 2 minute drill! PATHETIC!

Seeing as first two games are against solid teams in Bengals and Vikings you better hope your prediction doesn't come to fruition.

I think the Bears went 5-0 during the super bowl year to start off that campaign.
